NEW YEAR’S EVE AMIDST VOLCANOES AND NORTHERN LIGHTS: A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE IN ICELAND

  • Beyond fireworks and traditional celebrations, more and more travellers are looking to see out the year in contact with nature and far from the hustle and bustle.

  • Iceland is positioned as one of the favourite destinations for those who wish to combine adventure, relaxation and a festive atmosphere during this special time of year.

Iceland Tours, a tour operator specialising in trips to Iceland and part of the Island Tours Group, invites you to enjoy this experience with its programme “Winter Jewels – New Year’s Eve” programme, a guided tour that takes in the country’s most iconic sights: from the geysers and waterfalls of the Golden Circle to the black sand beaches of the south coast and the glaciers of the Snæfellsnes peninsula.

During this time of year, it will also be possible to take daily trips to admire the beauty of the Northern Lights, one of nature’s greatest spectacles. Their lights dance across the winter sky, tinging the frozen landscapes with green and purple and creating a moment that seems to stop time.

In addition, during the itinerary, travellers will be able to enjoy unique experiences such as exploring an ice cave in the Katla volcano or relaxing in the hot springs of the Sky Lagoon, one of the most modern in the country.

The trip, available from €3,440 per person, includes direct flights, accommodation in first-class hotels, daily breakfasts, two dinners and the services of local Spanish-speaking guides who are experts in Icelandic culture and nature.

Departures are scheduled for 28 December from Barcelona and 29 December from Madrid, with options for eight or nine-day trips.

Places are limited, so we recommend booking as soon as possible by emailing spain@islandtours.es, calling 91 547 60 94 (Madrid) or 93 169 18 98 (Barcelona), or through a travel agency.
