A breath of sea air at The Residence Maldives
Under the evocative theme ‘Tales of the Ocean’, the twin resorts of The Residence Maldives, Dhigurah and Falhumaafushi, have designed a festive experience inspired by the magic of the sea and the serenity of the tropical environment, where every wave tells a story.
At The Residence Maldives, fun is designed for all ages. Younger guests can enjoy a range of activities at the Turtle Kids Club, from decorating gingerbread houses and pressed flower art (oshibana) to pirate-style treasure hunts and fun cooking classes, such as pizza making.
When it comes to wellness, Spa by Clarins, The Residence Maldives’ wellness centre, invites you to embark on a sensory journey to rejuvenate your body and mind. The ritual begins with a revitalising sea salt and coconut scrub to refresh and soften the skin, followed by an exclusive Clarins Sensory Escape massage, designed to induce deep relaxation, and ends with a personalised mini facial treatment. The experience is rounded off with a cup of freshly brewed tea made with organic herbs grown in their own garden. Guests can also take part in balance and wellness activities such as aqua float yoga.
The hotel also offers guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in the beauty of marine life through its 5* PADI diving centre, which offers guided snorkelling excursions on reefs aboard a traditional dhoni or, for a truly magical experience, diving with Santa Claus himself on 25 December.
A festival full of flavour at The Residence Mauritius
The Residence Mauritius invites its guests to embark on a gastronomic journey around the world with its ‘Festival of Flavours’, a tribute to global culinary diversity. Each evening features a different theme: from the freshness of Lebanon and the intensity of India to the elegance of France, the warmth of Spain, the tradition of Italy and the exotic aromas of Asia, not to mention Creole specialities.

In Zanzibar, the newly renovated property has designed a full programme of activities—from 24 December 2025 to 5 January 2026—with the whole family in mind. Younger guests can meet Father Christmas at The Jetty, visit a bird sanctuary, bake cupcakes, learn Swahili or even try their hand at henna painting. While the children are having fun, parents can relax at the spa and enjoy treatments to moisturise the skin, tone and sculpt the body using local spices, or relieve jet lag. Alternatively, they can take part in adrenaline-fuelled water activities, from jet skiing and sunset dhow cruises to simply snorkelling and marvelling at the rich marine biodiversity.
This year, gastronomy plays an essential role at The Residence Zanzibar: guests can discover the ‘Earth Basket’ on an interactive tour that includes gathering spices that will later be used in a private cooking class.
Culture also deserves a special mention, which is why this year the hotel is organising a local craft market to promote the spirit of generosity; a fashion show featuring garments designed on the island; and even the chance to cycle around the picturesque neighbouring village of Kizimkazi.
