‘The privilege of the extraordinary’ is Higuerón Resort’s new campaign, focusing on an experience that blends architecture, art, gastronomy and wellbeing with the Mediterranean.
At Higuerón Resort, luxury is understood from the daily experience. Its new campaign, ‘The privilege of the extraordinary’, brings together architecture, landscape, gastronomy and well-being in a single journey that appeals to all five senses. This perspective allows you to observe the complex from different angles and understand how each space is designed for a specific use and a specific relationship with the environment.
Savouring art: gastronomy with identity and territory
Higuerón’s gastronomic offering revolves around controlled products and constant research into the Mediterranean. At Sollo, Diego Gallegos has developed a model based on his own aquaculture, an approach that has led the restaurant to obtain a Michelin Star, Two Repsol Suns and the Green Star for sustainability. Product traceability allows for the design of menus that evolve each season and connect technique, origin, and culinary purpose.
After becoming the regular venue for the ‘A Cuatro Manos’ cycle, Arara Bistro Bar will once again be the meeting point this year where Michelin-starred chefs join the restaurant’s team to create collaborative proposals that bring haute cuisine to a wider audience.
Breathe in nature: sustainability you can feel
The MED landscaped areas serve as outdoor circulation and relaxation hubs, connecting the hotel, convention centre and Infinity Rooftop via shaded spaces. Their routes incorporate native vegetation, Balinese beds, shaded areas and water channels that reduce the perceived temperature in the walkways and lounge areas thanks to plant shade and water features at specific points. The project prioritises native species with low water consumption and scheduled maintenance, and aligns paving and levels with access to the hotel and rooms.
Within Higuerón Resort is Leiro Residences, a complex of villas, penthouses and apartments with their own identity, surrounded by art and nature. Opened in 2024, it has become one of the most sought-after areas of the resort: its spacious and comfortable design, artistic surroundings and direct access to all the complex’s services have made it a real attraction for visitors. Each space is designed to offer well-being and privacy, while maintaining the level of quality and luxury that characterises the resort.
See where everything is art: architecture and visual calm
The main corridors feature a permanent collection of more than 400 works, with pieces by artists such as Francisco Leiro and Lita Cabellut distributed throughout common areas, lounges and gardens. The tour functions as an itinerary that allows visitors to encounter art at different points throughout the complex. The architecture focuses on spacious, well-lit areas with views of both the Mediterranean and the Sierra de Mijas mountains. This logic also applies to the event areas, such as the Picasso Room, which can accommodate up to 1,000 people, and the outdoor areas, where the Infinity Rooftop combines a swimming pool, solarium and observation areas.
Feel the softness of wellbeing: touch as memory
Well-being at Higuerón Resort is organised around spaces designed for different forms of care. The Higuerón Spa combines a hydrotherapy circuit, sauna, Turkish bath, heated indoor pool and a range of massages developed by its specialised team. Added to this is the Higuerón Sport Club, with more than 12,000 m² dedicated to training, recovery and regenerative medicine services.
For those who want to add golf to their stay, Higuerón Resort is connected to Higuerón Marbella Golf Resort—the historic course designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. just a few minutes from Marbella—an environment surrounded by nature and views of the Mediterranean that invites you to play calmly and enjoy the rhythm of the Costa del Sol. This possibility adds another chapter to the resort experience, where sport, wellbeing and landscape coexist organically.
The whisper of the sea: the soundtrack of destiny
The resort’s location, between Benalmádena and Fuengirola, allows access to the beach via an internal tram that connects the hotel to the coast in just a few minutes. On the seafront is The Beach Club Higuerón, a space that concentrates part of the resort’s social activity, with offerings ranging from brunch to evening gatherings and cultural events. The connection between the higher areas of the resort, such as the Infinity Rooftop, and the seashore allows for two different ways of experiencing the Mediterranean: a broad view from above and a closer one when moving directly to the beach. This configuration makes it easy to organise your day with flexibility, combining views, relaxation or activities by the sea according to your plans at any given moment.
“Higuerón Resort is designed so that each stay combines architecture, art, gastronomy and well-being with direct access to the Mediterranean. Our goal is for guests to enjoy a complete and recognisable experience: from the MED gardens and the Sport Club to The Beach Club and the resort’s cultural spaces. In short, an experience that always returns to the essentials: experiencing luxury through the senses,” says Luis García, Director of Communications and Marketing at Higuerón Resort.
