In February, Pariente Tradición Familiar, the label that encompasses the prestigious José Pariente, Prieto Pariente and A Vilerma wineries, is offering two very special activities, ideal for enjoying with your partner or with friends and family. To celebrate love and Valentine’s Day, on 14 February it is organising a wine glass painting workshop with a paired picnic at the José Pariente winery (Rueda, Valladolid). A little later, on the weekend of 17 and 18 February, coinciding with the Entroido carnival celebrations, A Vilerma (Leiro, Ourense) will open the gates of its beautiful estate nestled in the Avia valley for a special event, with a gift for those who come in costume and an unmissable tasting.
Valentine's Day with art and picnics at the José Pariente winery
The most romantic day of the year tastes like wine and art at José Pariente (Rueda, Valladolid). On that day, a very special activity will take place, with very limited capacity. It is called Pinta & Brinda, a fun creative workshop on glass painting given by Espacio Teselas, one of the most interesting creative centres in Valladolid. It includes a visit to the winery and a delicious picnic paired with wine in the vastness of the vineyards. It is a landscape full of power and is also a landmark in regenerative landscaping. It costs €50 per person and advance booking is required on the winery’s website.
José Pariente’s wine tourism offering is among the most prestigious in the country. In fact, it is part of the “Spain Through Its Wineries” (STIW) project, promoted by the Leading Brands of Spain Forum. Presented at FITUR, it brings together more than 30 leading wineries as a gateway to the territory, culture and Spanish wine, which can be explored on an intuitive digital platform.

A visit with tasting in the middle of Entroido to discover the best Ribeiro with A Vilerma
A Vilerma is one of the most important wineries in the Ribeiro DO, Galicia’s oldest seal of quality. Its founder, Arsenio Paz, was one of the pioneers in the recovery of native grape varieties in the area. Since 2024, the winery and its idyllic estate, in the heart of the Avia Valley, have been part of the Pariente Tradición Familiar family. On 17 and 18 February, coinciding with the fun Entroido festival, A Vilerma (Leiro, Ourense) is organising two special visits (at 5 pm on 17 February and at 11:30 a.m. on the 18th) to discover this blessed enclave, with its superb hillside vineyard, tour the production rooms and enjoy a guided tasting of three wines while taking in the unparalleled panoramic views of the Avia Valley. Advance booking is recommended (the price is €20 per person) and there will be a special treat for those who come in fancy dress.
