- The Tepic restaurant, a benchmark in Madrid for the best contemporary Mexican cuisine—and the only Mexican restaurant in the capital with the Michelin Guide’s Bib Gourmand seal—has been bringing homemade dishes from all over the Central American country since 2008.
- It offers a traditional Nayarit flan with passion fruit caramel and mezcal, accompanied by two mini cocktails created especially for the occasion.
The Tepic restaurant was founded in 2008 in the Chueca area, specifically on Calle Pelayo, by five partners. The success of its traditional Mexican cuisine led the business to move to the heart of the Salamanca district two years ago in search of larger premises. The current location, on Calle Ayala, is comfortable and spacious, with a minimalist, refined aesthetic that is far removed from forced folklore, a pure reflection of its culinary style.
The only Mexican restaurant in the capital to be awarded a Bib Gourmand by the Michelin Guide celebrates Valentine’s Day with a menu designed for sharing and lingering over the table.
For this date, the restaurant adds a special seasonal dessert to its menu: a traditional Nayara flan, creamy and homemade, flavored with a subtle touch of mezcal that adds depth and elegance without being overpowering. The dessert is presented bathed in a passion fruit caramel, which adds a delicate acidic and refreshing touch, and is served accompanied by two mini-cocktails designed specifically for the occasion.
The drinks are the work of Javier Quiñones, Tepic’s maître d’ and bartender, who has created two small cocktails designed to complement the dessert and complete a sweet, fresh experience with personality, in line with the spirit of the restaurant.
With more than 17 years of experience, Tepic has established itself as one of the essential addresses for enjoying Mexican cuisine in Madrid, with a cuisine rooted in popular traditions that is elegantly updated, a careful selection of ingredients—many of them imported—and signature cocktails that showcase spirits such as mezcal and tequila.
This special offer will be available on Valentine’s Day as part of a celebration that emphasizes the pleasure of sharing, the balance of flavors, and the festive and welcoming character that defines Tepic.
