NATALE DI ROMA 2026. “ROME, CITY OF LAW AND WELCOME”

  • Rome celebrates its foundation with one of Europe’s biggest historical and cultural events: Natale di Roma, an international event that attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors to the capital every year.

The 2026 edition, dedicated to the theme “Rome, City of Law and Hospitality”, is set to be the most popular in history, with:

  • 1,500 re-enactors
  • Groups from 16 European countries
  • The extraordinary presence of an official delegation from Taiwan
  • A programme spread over several days
  • An estimated 300,000 attendees

For several days, the emblematic sites of ancient Rome—the Imperial Forums, the Circus Maximus, the Pantheon, and the historic centre—will become a large open-air cultural stage, offering a unique immersive experience in the European landscape.

Among the main events:

  • The solemn Renewal of the Sacred Fire of Vesta
  • The grand International Historical Parade
  • Documented re-enactments of military, civil and religious life
  • Gladiator demonstrations
  • Conferences, exhibitions and educational activities

Natale di Roma is now one of the most important cultural tourist attractions of the spring, with a significant impact in terms of:

  • Hotel occupancy and average length of stay of visitors
  • Commercial and catering revenue
  • International media visibility
  • Promotion of archaeological and monumental heritage

The participation of groups from 16 European countries and the presence of an Asian delegation confirm the global nature of the event and Rome’s role as an international cultural crossroads.

Rome is not just celebrating a date. It is offering the world the opportunity to experience history in the place where it was born.
