- The prestigious EVOOLEUM Guide not only selects the 100 best EVOOs in the world for their quality, but also rewards the most carefully crafted and beautiful packaging, where design becomes an essential part of the experience.
- The Spanish EVOOs Hejul, Rapa Origin, Óleo Olivia and Vida Trashumante have been awarded Gold Medals in the categories of Best Premium Design, Best Innovative Design, Best Retail Range Design and Best Sustainable Design, respectively.
The EVOOLEUM Guide in addition to the eagerly awaited TOP100 of the world’s best EVOOs, includes the EVOOLEUM Packaging Awards 2025, which recognise the most beautiful designs on the planet. In addition to the specific candidates, all EVOOs competing in the International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Quality Awards – EVOOLEUM Awards, organised by Grupo Editorial Mercacei and the Spanish Association of Olive Municipalities (AEMO), automatically participate.
The competition recognises packaging in the following categories: Best Premium EVOO Design, Best Innovative Design, Best Retail Range Design and Best Sustainable Design, and has an exceptional jury: chef and restaurateur Javier Bonet, a leading figure on the gastronomic scene (Sala de Despiece, Sala Cero); Ana López de Letona, director of styling and communication; journalist Teresa de la Cierva, an expert voice in beauty and gastronomic culture; interior designers Pepe Leal and José Piñero (the latter also an industrial designer); fashion designer Juan Duyos; multidisciplinary artist Jimmy Millán; architect and artist Teresa J. Cuevas; and visual artist Nicole Vindel. Nine perspectives that engage in dialogue between fashion, art, design and gastronomy with a contemporary and sophisticated sensibility.
Best Premium EVOO Design
In the Best Premium EVOO Design category, Hejul (Almazara Hejul) was the winner with a sober and elegant container that makes EVOO the real star, treated like a jewel. Its formal balance and careful typography consolidate it as a benchmark for contemporary design.
The Silver went to Jade (Comercial Aceitera Tomás Padilla), a proposal with a premium spirit and vintage feel that evokes the sophistication of a high-end whisky.
The Bronze went to O de Oleum Laguna de Blas (Oleum Laguna), a minimalist and visually striking design, marked by a blue inspired by the olive leaf and impeccable packaging.
Best Innovative Design
Gold went to Rapa Origin, by Lázaro Cardenete Ramos, a proposal defined by the jury as ‘fashion in its purest form’, with packaging that evokes the world of perfumery.
The Silver went to Monsieur Pegó Hojiblanca Bag-in-box, by Rosario Vergara Puig, a modern and carefree design that breaks with traditional codes and opts for a clearly contemporary aesthetic.
The Bronze went to The Exhuberant, by Frantoio Pruneti (Italy), a novel and ergonomic format reminiscent of a drop of EVOO in motion that also functions as a decorative object.
Best Retail Range Design
The Gold award went to Óleo Olivia (NaturAg Enterprises, Spain), a functional and original tin that the jury highlighted as the most convenient format, with a carefully designed aesthetic that invites use and a clear and comprehensive label.
The Silver went to Aroma & Tradition Sancho Arbequina (Nikelan Intertrading), a design that connects with its origins through an olive-shaped format and handcrafted details that evoke blown glass.
The Bronze went to Longevo Top Quality (Frantoio Oleario Domenico de Palma, Italy), an elegant and well-proportioned proposal that exudes Italian style and ease of use.
Best Sustainable Design
Gold went to Vida Trashumante (Spain), a design with strong symbolic significance that connects with the land and tradition, paying homage to transhumance through materials and a design that conveys sustainability.
Silver went to Es Bouer de Binidalí Vell (Spain), an honest and refined container that reduces materials, avoids waste and demonstrates that simplicity is also synonymous with excellence.
The Bronze, shared ex aequo, went to Crudo Extra Virgin Olive Oil Taggiasca Quality (Italy), which focuses on recycled materials and a vintage aesthetic, and Molí Coloma Arbequina Bag-in-box (Spain), the most sustainable format in the competition, 100% recyclable and designed to minimise waste.
