Grupo Island Tours, a tour operator with almost 25 years’ experience in organising trips, has launched the new brand Escandinavia Tours, which specialises in destinations in Northern Europe.
This new line of business forms part of the company’s growth plans and has emerged in response to high demand from its customers for trips to these destinations, particularly Norway and the Faroe Islands.
Escandinavia Tours will introduce Spanish travellers to the magnificent landscapes of the Nordic wilderness, such as endless fjords, rugged mountains, fishing villages and scenic roads, inviting them to explore these at a leisurely pace. To this end, they design bespoke fly & drive tours, programmes featuring boat trips through the fjords and stays in small, charming hotels, cabins by the fjord and boutique accommodation in incredible settings.
According to David Fernández, CEO of Grupo Island Tours, “with the launch of this new brand, our aim is to strengthen our position in Spain as specialists in nature travel and unique experiences”.
Scandinavia Tours’ Itineraries
Its programme includes 8-, 10- and 15-day road trips through Norway – such as “Jewels of Lofoten”, “All of Norway”, “Oslo and the Fjord Paradise”, “The Magic of the Fjords” and “Jewels of Southern Norway” – as well as the eight-day “Nordic Splendour” tour, which allows travellers to discover the country at their own pace.
It also offers the chance to tour several northern European capitals by car in a single programme. “Capitals and Fjords” features a 14-day itinerary through Copenhagen, Bergen, the Fjord of Dreams, Oslo and Helsinki.
As for the Faroe Islands, to explore nature in its purest form, there are two eight-day summer programmes available: “Essential Faroe” and “Faroe at Your Own Pace”, to tour the wildest archipelago by car.
It is also possible to arrange fully customised itineraries for other destinations in Scandinavia and Finland, upon request.
