Summer is experienced differently at Cortesin Hotels. Both Finca Cortesin, the multi-award-winning resort on the Costa del Sol, and Grand Hotel Son Net, the refined and equally award-winning 17th-century palace in Mallorca, have designed a summer programme that blends jazz with flamenco, classical and electronic music under the name “Summer Nights”. A series of intimate evenings under the Mediterranean sky.

One of the most unique moments will take place on 12 August on the terrace of the Green Bar at Son Net. Under the title ‘Eclipse Sound of Earth’, percussionists from the Balearic Islands Symphony Orchestra and Conservatory will perform a concert of descriptive music. Inspired by the total solar eclipse (Mallorca lies within the path of totality), the programme will include original compositions for an unforgettable sunset in the Serra de Tramuntana.
In addition, Grand Hotel Son Net (Green Bar, vineyard and Mar&Duix) will host Pierre Bouzerand (28 May), Meja (27 June), Jorge Pardo (4 July), Soleá Morente (18 July), Chuchito Valdés in the vineyard (31 July, free entry), Antonio Sánchez with a tribute to Paco de Lucía (19 September) and an Opera Night with soprano Nadia Akaârir (17 October).
Finca Cortesin (Blue Bar and Beach Club) hosted José del Tomate and Kiki Cortiñas on 15 May. Upcoming performances include the prestigious artist Daniel Casares on St John’s Night (23 June), drawing on his love and dedication to his hometown; Alba Molina and Juan Medina (11 July) in a unique duet; Chuchito Valdés (25 July), celebrating “A Night in Havana” with the finest Cuban tunes; by Josemi Carmona (8 August), by Jorge Pardo (15 August), by DJ Kiko Navarro (21 August), by Soleá Morente (29 August), and Antonio Sánchez’s tribute to Paco de Lucía (12 September).
At both Finca Cortesin and Grand Hotel Son Net, doors will open at 7.00 pm for guests to enjoy tapas and cocktails before each concert. Seating is limited, ensuring the exclusivity and intimate atmosphere that characterises both properties.
