HIGUERÓN GRAN MÁLAGA RESORT CONCLUDES A SUMMER OF GROWTH WITH A 36 PER CENT INCREASE IN SALES OF SERVICES AND EXPERIENCES

Higuerón Gran Málaga Resort cierra un verano de crecimiento con un 36 % más de ventas en servicios y experiencias
  • The resort recorded over 8,300 room nights in August, 4.8 per cent more than in the same month of 2025.

  • Revenue per available room (RevPAR) rose by 5 per cent.

  • Offers centred on gastronomy, wellness, sport, golf and leisure drove the season’s results.

  • The United Kingdom remains the main source market.

Higuerón Gran Málaga Resort successfully concluded the summer season, driven by growth in stays and, in particular, by the surge in services and experiences booked by its guests. In August, the resort recorded over 8,300 room nights, 4.8 per cent more than in the same month of 2025, whilst sales of services and experiences rose by 36 per cent.

Occupancy rose by four percentage points compared with August 2025, and accommodation revenue also increased. Revenue per available room (RevPAR), the key hotel industry indicator, grew by 5 per cent.

The strongest growth came from offerings complementing the accommodation, particularly those related to dining, wellness, sport and golf. Added to these is the Higuerón Beach Club, which expands the resort’s offering with a seafront experience centred on dining and leisure.

Meanwhile, Leiro Residences has also been one of the key drivers of Higuerón Gran Málaga Resort this season. Aimed at those seeking a more private, residential and independent experience, Leiro extends the traditional hotel concept towards a model in which guests enjoy more space, privacy and a more personalised accommodation experience, whilst retaining access to the full range of services and experiences offered by Higuerón.

The UK remains the main source market

During August, the international market played a very significant role. The UK was once again the main source country, followed by France, the Netherlands and the United States, which were the countries with the strongest presence. Meanwhile, the domestic market also played a significant role. Both the British and Spanish markets recorded growth compared with the same period in 2025.

“The 36 per cent increase in sales of services and experiences confirms a significant shift: guests no longer view accommodation as the centre of their entire stay, but rather as the starting point. Gastronomy, wellness, sport, golf and the Higuerón Beach Club are increasingly becoming part of their journey,” says Mónica Sánchez, director of Higuerón Gran Málaga Resort.

These results thus reflect a successful summer for Higuerón Gran Málaga Resort, characterised both by growth in the number of stays and by increased demand for services and experiences. This trend demonstrates that whilst the room marks the start of the journey, much of the resort’s unique value is built through everything the guest discovers and enjoys during their stay.
