Autocaravanas y Campers and “Adictos a la autocaravana” reveal the full programme.
The “1st AdictosAC Meet-up” has finalised its program. The event, organised by Autocaravanas y Campers (A&C) in collaboration with the Facebook group “Adictos a la autocaravana,” will bring together caravanning enthusiasts from across Spain in El Bonillo (Albacete) from 9 to 11 October.
The program has been designed to combine leisure and sporting activities with content linked to the world of motorhome and campervan travel, as well as various spaces designed to facilitate interaction among attendees, in the charming setting of El Bonillo, surrounded by nature.
Friday 9th: the gathering begins
The first day will be dedicated in particular to welcoming participants and getting the event off to a good start. From 5.00 pm, the gathering and the market area will open their doors; brands interested in showcasing their products and services can still join.
The day will continue with a travellers’ get-together and the official welcome, before the event’s first dinner, dubbed ‘At last we meet’. Friday will conclude with an evening designed for sharing experiences and getting to know other members of the community.
Saturday 10th: trips, activities and a great night out
Saturday will feature the bulk of the event’s activities. The day will begin with activities such as yoga and a cycle route, sponsored by DSPCamper, whilst the market area will remain open all day.
Attendees will also be able to take part in guided tours of El Bonillo and a round-table discussion with David Fernández Lorca, CEO of Autocaravanas y Campers.
The programme will also feature various talks led by travellers and professionals linked to the sector. Lidia Geniz, founder of Van Travellers and coordinator of the event, will share her experience of travelling from Ushuaia to Alaska; whilst Mariola, from SmartVan AI, will discuss the possibilities of artificial intelligence applied to route planning. Also taking part will be Manchegos Trotamundos and Ana and Abel from Nómadas Travelling, who will share their own travel experiences with attendees.
On this second day, Zalba-Caldú by Aon, the event’s main sponsor, will run a workshop and T-shirt competition aimed at both children and adults – an initiative designed to encourage participation and fun amongst attendees. Furthermore, MAUS Spain will hold a workshop and demonstration of its MAUS Stixx Pro system, introducing participants to one of its fire protection solutions.
The day will include the “Furgomatón”, where visitors can take fun photos, and will conclude with “La gran noche AdictosAC”, a dinner accompanied by a party and live music from Los Garrapateros.
Sunday 11th: road stories and farewell
The final day will begin with the market area open throughout the morning and will continue with the open-mic session ‘Road Stories’, a space where members of the community themselves can share anecdotes, experiences and memories.
One of the most symbolic moments of the gathering will be the big group photo of the community, before the farewell banquet begins, featuring “Carne de boda” – one of El Bonillo’s traditional dishes, originally made with lamb, garlic and wine.
The event will conclude with a grand raffle amongst participants, bringing three days of fellowship to a close.
