The municipality of Santa Eulària des Riu will once again become the epicentre of the tourism debate with the 13th Ibiza Tourism Forum, which will take place on 12 November 2026 at the Jesús Cultural Centre. Under the slogan ‘Decisions for the Future’, this latest edition aims to analyse artificial intelligence tools, as well as current tourism strategies, with a view to creating a modern, up-to-date and constantly evolving tourism model for the island.

The event, organised by Santa Eulària Empresarial and Santa Eulària des Riu Town Council with the support of the Consell Insular d’Eivissa and Ibiza Travel, will offer a day’s programme combining expert analysis, inspiring experiences and proposals for improvement to establish Ibiza as an efficient destination in a highly competitive environment.

The event will begin at 9.15 am with a welcome address from representatives of each of the organising institutions. This will be followed, at 9.30 am, by the first video presentation by Natalia Bayona, Executive Director of UNWTO, who, under the title ‘The Tourism to Come’, will provide an international perspective on the major transformations that are redefining the future of tourism: artificial intelligence, data, innovation, talent and new traveller behaviours.

This will be followed by two panel discussions. The first panel, entitled ‘Who decides the future of a destination?’, will be moderated by Raúl García López, a strategic destination consultant and LinkedIn Top Voice. Participants will include Elizabeth Keegan, Managing Director of Lloret Turisme; Marcos Pampliega, Cities & Territories Manager at Minsait (Indra); Ana Lafuente, Deputy Director-General for Tourism Knowledge and Research at Turespaña; and Christophe Ramaciotti, Sales Director at Amadeus for Destinations & More – all leading professionals in their respective fields.

This panel will examine how data, AI and tourism intelligence are changing the way destinations are managed. The discussion will address strategies for learning how to turn accumulated information into concrete decisions, anticipate behaviour, improve planning and boost competitiveness, as well as the role that public authorities, destinations and technology companies should play in this decision-making process.

Between the two panel discussions, there will be a talk by José Elías, an entrepreneur and investor specialising in business development and corporate strategy, who will speak about decision-making in the current environment of change and uncertainty.

The second panel, ‘From Attracting Tourists to Creating Value’, will be moderated by Manuel Molina, director of Hosteltur. This discussion session will feature Inmaculada Benito, director of the Department of Tourism, Culture and Sport at the CEOE; Fernando Garasa López, CEO and founder of Sergestur; Sinead McKevitt, Chain Manager & Contracting at Jet2 and Jet2holidays; and Ricardo Fernández, CEO of Destinia.

The discussion will address the transition from a strategy that prioritises attracting visitors to a model that generates greater economic, social and regional value. It will focus on topics such as profitability, spending, pricing, product, marketing, experiences and demand behaviour, as well as methods for determining whether a destination is truly competitive and for achieving a greater return for businesses and the local economy.

To round off the event, the 6th Ibiza Tourism Forum Awards will be presented, recognising the best tourism project of the year, a lifetime achievement in tourism, and the best professional in the sector.

Attendance is free and open to the public, subject to prior registration via the website https://www.foroturismoibiza.com/edicion-2026/, and the event can also be followed via live stream.

Over the last twelve editions, the Ibiza Tourism Forum has established itself as a leading meeting point for professionals, institutions and companies in the tourism sector at a national level. Each year, this event offers the opportunity to discuss first-hand the challenges and opportunities shaping the tourism agenda at any given time.
