The RAM 1500 is no stranger to these changes on the horizon and so the green light has been given to the new RAM 1500 BEV, the first ever 100% electric RAM 1500 in series production.

Among the generic features of the Ram 1500 are engines ranging from 3.6 litres to the 6.2 litres of the TRX, including an interesting and versatile 5.7 litres, 8-speed automatic transmission, 4×4-wheel drive with Shift-on-the-Fly electronic conditioning and Electric Power Steering (EPS), emergency brake assist (BAS), eTorque technology that adapts a 48-volt system to reduce consumption, electronic brake distribution (EBD), cruise control, anti-roll over control system (ERM), electronic stability control, ParkSense rear brake assist, seat and steering wheel heater, trailer balancing assistant, front, side and curtain airbags and multimedia system with voice recognition, among other goodies.
But the particularities of this vehicle lie not only in its power, but also in its elegant and technological interior, which includes electric pedal position adjustment (accelerator and brake), height and depth adjustable steering wheel, infotainment system, to name but a few of the most significant features.
In this respect, we cannot forget the outstanding single diesel engine offered in the 1500 range, a 3.0-litre EcoDiesel V6, with the same trim level and equipment as its petrol siblings.
The top step of the range is occupied by the supercharged 6.2-litre HEMI V8 with 712 hp and 881 Nm of peak torque fitted to the new 1500 TRX. It is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox and an all-wheel drive system. Thanks to this engine, the RAM pick-up can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds.
Another interesting aspect from an energy-saving point of view is the possibility of switching off four cylinders in the V8 engines, thus contributing to a reduction in pollutant emissions and lower fuel consumption.
terms of efficiency, the RAM 1500 incorporates curious solutions such as its active grille system to improve aerodynamic ballast, adapting to speed, load and cooling requirements.
The roof also features an aerodynamic design that sends all airflow directly to the rear wing, avoiding drag and making handling much smoother. It even has a system called Active Air Dam, which is automatically activated at a specific speed to reduce the aerodynamic drag of the car.
