The Concertos do Xacobeo organised by the Regional Government of Galicia are back this year with more than 120 unique events throughout the region, including the most eagerly awaited tours, the most sought-after festivals and the most unique and exclusive concert series, bringing together nearly 800 essential bands and artists from the international, national and Galician music scene.

Galicia is pure melody, and music has been a source of emotion since time immemorial. In a land where creativity and harmony vibrate in unison, it is easy to understand why events of this calibre are part of Galician culture, making them more than just cycles and festivals, more than just live music, but rather an experience that is lived, felt… and danced. That is the essence of the Concertos do Xacobeo.

In 2025, multiple sounds will once again set the rhythm of Galicia. The Concertos do Xacobeo, promoted by the regional government through Turismo de Galicia, are back with an edition full of sounds, emotions and must-see stops throughout Galicia. From the coast to the mountains, from big cities to the most surprising corners, the settings multiply to turn this land into an unforgettable sound map.

Rock, pop, electronic, jazz, indie, funk, urban music, or roots music… No matter what your style, Concertos do Xacobeo has something for everyone. On stage, more than 120 unique events spread across 70 venues will showcase the talent of more than 800 Galician, Spanish and international artists and bands in a programme that combines epic concerts, leading festivals, carefully curated cycles and unique live performances that, once again, make Galicia the most sought-after musical destination.

A unique musical imagination

Galicia dresses up for festivals with names that are already legendary, such as O Son do Camiño, Resurrection Fest, PortAmérica, O Gozo Festival, Morriña, Atlantic Fest, Río Verbena, the Ortigueira Festival… and many more. A diverse, high-quality offering that connects generations, styles and ways of experiencing music.

But it’s not all about macro-festivals. The Concertos do Xacobeo also support emerging projects, alternative venues and more intimate formats that allow you to experience music up close, without filters. In this regard, if you are not yet familiar with Trasan Fest, Ou Yeah!, Costa Feira or Maresía, we highly recommend keeping track of this massive event organised by Turismo de Galicia so you don’t miss a thing and never forget it.

Galicia is a place for live music, and the Concertos do Xacobeo programme is not only committed to culture. It is also a tourist and economic driver that transforms Galicia into one of the most sought-after destinations for lovers of live music. As Xosé Manuel Merelles, Director of Tourism for Galicia, points out, ‘our strategic support for these events helps to promote the image of Galicia as a unique, attractive and high-quality destination.’

The reasons behind this statement are indisputable, as with line-ups featuring the most sought-after names on the international scene and a firm commitment to up-and-coming local talent, Galicia boasts a music scene with its own powerful and contemporary identity.

Figures that leave no one indifferent

Promoted by the Galician Tourism Agency and Xacobeo, the Concertos do Xacobeo programme returns once again with a wide-ranging and diverse programme supporting the main musical events in Galicia. In this way, the Regional Government of Galicia consolidates its support for live music and continues the strategic line of work of previous editions of the event, which attracted more than 2.5 million spectators between 2021 and 2022.

Concertos do Xacobeo is committed to positioning Galicia as one of the most attractive destinations for audiences of different generations with the most demanding and diverse cultural and musical preferences. Under this premise, the Concertos do Xacobeo label was created four years ago, as a guarantee of a first-class musical offering that makes this beautiful land even more authentic. Since then, the commitment has been renewed year after year to support unique events that put Galicia on the international map, making it the spearhead of musical events on the Peninsula during the summer and throughout the year.

Concertos do Xacobeo is a showcase for the best artists of today and yesterday; an open space for the most sought-after new talent and the great classics; a rich and eclectic programme of concerts for all tastes and ages, reaching every corner of the region with a wide, rich and diverse musical map throughout the year.

The extremely high quality and uniqueness of the posters for events such as the O Gozo Festival, Portamérica, Our Fest, the Festival da Luz, Atlantic Fest and Morriña, featuring internationally renowned artists and a firm commitment to the Galician talent that is so much in vogue at the moment, helps to reinforce the image of Galicia both at home and abroad, adding value so that the public will not hesitate to come and experience the best music in Galicia.

Strategic support for live music at the top of the Spanish rankings

According to the report by the festival brand observatory Oh, Holy Festivals!, published in 2023 by Mediabrands Content Studio in collaboration with Ticketmaster, Xacobeo and Xunta de Galicia are at the top of the Spanish ranking of agreements between public institutions and festivals, ahead of the Generalitat de Cataluña, the Comunitat Valenciana and the Basque Government, among others.

This leadership is not easy to achieve without a clear commitment to musical culture, as demonstrated by the Galician Regional Government through Turismo de Galicia. Thanks to this dynamic approach, it is possible to fill the posters with essential names and events such as those taking place this year.

Morriña Festival, Festival de la Luz, O Gozo Festival, O Son do Camiño, PortAmérica, Resurrection Fest, Wake Up! and more than a hundred other events catering to the most diverse and demanding tastes and audiences.
