- This summer, Air France is revamping its La Première VIP lounge at Paris-Charles de Gaulle to offer its customers even greater privacy and comfort.
- Designed to blend seamlessly with the airport’s entire private journey dedicated to La Première passengers, as well as with the new suites available on board, this new space marks another step forward in the evolution of the airline’s exceptional service offering.
Located in Terminal 2E at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, the Air France La Première VIP lounge embodies the promise of an exclusive experience, designed to offer the very essence of travel from the moment passengers arrive at the airport. A gourmet dining area, spaces dedicated to relaxation, personal care or work: everything is designed to ensure that every moment is a special one.
This space, covering more than 1,000 m² and redesigned by Air France’s teams in collaboration with the agency MARKS Brandimage, has been conceived to offer every passenger greater privacy and comfort. It forms part of the new ‘La Première’ airport journey, launched in the summer of 2024, as well as the latest suites installed on board a selection of Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. More welcoming spaces, warm materials and carefully considered lighting: every detail contributes to creating a cosy, peaceful and refined atmosphere.
The La Première VIP lounge: the promise of an exceptional experience
To set the tone for the very start of your journey, the airline’s signature fragrance is subtly revealed as soon as you enter the VIP lounge. Named AF001, this interior fragrance has been created by Francis Kurkdjian, the renowned French perfumer and artistic director of Maison Francis Kurkdjian.
At the centre of the lounge, the dining area has been revamped with additional tables, in an atmosphere that strikes a balance between an elegant dining room and an intimate corner. More welcoming and light-filled, it offers every guest table service. Awarded first prize by Skytrax for its culinary offering in a first-class lounge in 2025, the lounge celebrates the very best of French haute cuisine through a menu created by Alain Ducasse and his team. At this prestigious table, diners will be able to discover, amongst other dishes, the chef’s famous ‘coquillettes jambon-truffe noire’ (ham and black truffle pasta), delicious seasonal vegetarian creations, as well as the ‘baba au rhum’ or ‘baba à l’Armagnac’ dessert, emblematic of Monte Carlo. These dishes are paired with a wine and champagne list curated by Xavier Thuizat, Air France’s master sommelier, featuring fine wines carefully selected by Alain Ducasse’s teams.
The spacious lounge now boasts a more welcoming and intimate atmosphere. The fully refurbished furnishings combine comfort and elegance, with the ‘Ribbon’ armchair—an iconic piece by French designer Pierre Paulin—taking centre stage. Spacious armchairs, cosy sofas, cosy nooks and partition walls structure the space to offer every traveller a haven of tranquillity in a welcoming and sophisticated setting. The airline’s identity is also reflected in this space through a selection of posters illustrating the richness of its heritage.
The lounge also features a larger treatment area by Sisley, a pioneering French brand in phytocosmetology. To further enhance this wellness experience, a second treatment room is now available. Whether before a daytime or night-time flight, or during a stopover, this Sisley La Première space puts the brand’s full expertise at customers’ disposal, through a selection of treatments tailored to the time each guest has available before departure.
The relaxation area has also been redesigned to create a true haven of peace within the VIP lounge. The new individual cabins, equipped with divans, duvets and soft pillows, invite guests to relax in a setting designed as a sanctuary. A new workspace, featuring a booth that allows guests to make calls or hold conversations in complete privacy, completes the range of services on offer.
Every six months, in the La Première lounge, Air France exhibits a work of art by a renowned artist. To celebrate the reopening of the lounge, guests can now discover a ‘Wonder Block’ by Jean-Michel Othoniel. The French artist has specially designed a piece in shades of amber and indigo pink. This monolith, both architectural and exquisite, evokes a wall, a pillar or a totem, and combines grandeur with delicacy.
Private suites adjoining the VIP lounge
To enjoy complete privacy before their journey or during a stopover, La Première customers can opt to book genuine suites, each measuring around 45 m², adjoining the VIP lounge. Opened in the summer of 2024, there are three suites available, two of which can be connected upon request.
Each suite features a spacious lounge, a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom and a cosy outdoor patio. They also showcase works of art. On arrival, guests are welcomed with a glass of champagne and Sturia caviar. Designed as true havens of tranquillity, these suites also allow guests to enjoy a meal in complete privacy, with a menu created by Alain Ducasse and his team for the La Première VIP lounge.
