- Areas, an international leader in travel catering, and Kabuki are opening a new restaurant in Terminal 4 of Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, reaffirming their commitment to innovation and quality in the airport environment.
- The restaurant incorporates Kabuki’s latest creations alongside others developed specifically for this space. It also boasts a revamped drinks menu, featuring wines by the glass, and, as a major new addition, a breakfast menu.
The Kabuki Group has recently opened a new space in Terminal 4 of Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport. This restaurant is the result of a collaboration between Areas, an international leader in travel catering, and Kabuki. The restaurant’s design reflects Kabuki’s current identity, offering a culinary experience that incorporates the group’s latest creations and attentive, friendly service, true to the brand’s hallmark.
Alejandro Durán, executive chef at Grupo Kabuki—which has a Michelin-starred restaurant—has designed a gastronomic offering tailored to the needs of airport customers, allowing them to eat in just thirty minutes. An experience that stays true to the spirit of Kabuki Cuisine, characterised by the use of exceptional raw ingredients and preparations that enhance the original flavour of each product.
The menu at this new Kabuki restaurant in Terminal 4 of Madrid Airport combines traditional Japanese dishes with original creations from Cocina Kabuki, characterised by its use of Japanese recipes with Mediterranean and other international influences, notably those from chef Durán’s native Mexico. Among the new creations, highlights include the taco pastor nigiri, the Gyu Hibiki nigiri (beef tenderloin flavoured with Hibiki whisky), the crayfish nigiri with Iberian bacon, and Nam Prik Pao noodles with Thai sauce.
One of the major new features of this new Kabuki establishment is the addition of breakfast. The menu includes innovative options such as spicy tuna toast with avocado or eggs Benedict with Iberian ham on Japanese pancakes, ideal for starting the day with a fusion of flavours that make all the difference.
At an airport, there is often no time to enjoy a whole bottle of wine, but there is time to savour a glass. Aware that travellers have limited time, Kabuki has designed a menu with a wide selection of wines and sakes by the glass, so that diners can accompany their meal with their favourite wine.
