Sport, excursions to nearby villages and time to relax at the spa form the core of the hotel’s programme for the coming months.
Whilst the beach and the sun have taken centre stage during the summer months in the paradise that is OKU Andalusia, this Costa del Sol retreat is focusing on peaceful days this autumn, whether playing padel, taking a yoga class, organising trips to nearby villages or unwinding with a treatment at its wellness centre.
Drives and swings with sea views
Whether you’re playing a friendly match or booking a lesson to perfect your technique, the OKU Sports Club offers various ways to enjoy the game. The hotel provides the balls, and rackets can be hired by the day directly from the club reception. Afterwards, the bar becomes the meeting point for players and guests who head up there to enjoy the sunset.
The Sports Club’s offering is rounded off by the golf courses near the hotel. From the padel courts, you can see the two courses at La Hacienda Alcaidesa, both offering stunning sea views. Just a 10-minute drive from OKU Andalusia are The San Roque Club, with its renowned Old Course; the Real Club Valderrama, one of Europe’s most prestigious courses; and The Alto Club, designed by Dave Thomas: three options for the most discerning golf enthusiasts. Just over 20 minutes from the hotel, Finca Cortesín Golf Club also ranks among the most exclusive clubs, boasting a top-class course and immaculately maintained grounds.
Wellbeing as the primary focus
Designed as a space dedicated to wellbeing, the OKU Andalusia spa covers 2,000 m² and offers a wide range of options for nurturing both body and mind. Its programme includes daily activities, yoga sessions and personalised treatments, as well as movement classes, holistic healing experiences and energy practices.
OKU Andalusia offers a holistic wellbeing journey tailored to the needs of each guest. The day can begin with an early-morning meditation session in the gardens or a stroll through the hotel’s vegetable garden, before enjoying breakfast with a wide range of healthy options at The Terrace, overlooking the hotel’s swimming pools with the sea in the background. These activities can be combined with one of the treatments from the spa menu, such as the Andalusian Ayurvedic Ritual, which awakens the body and clears the mind through revitalising aromas and mindful breathing exercises, or others that focus on biohacking and aim to optimise physical and mental performance whilst promoting healthy longevity. As part of this pursuit of wellbeing, the hotel also offers ‘Mystical Magic’ experiences that will bring clarity and harmony following a personalised astrological reading, during which your birth chart and cosmic influences will be analysed.
Pangaia Wellness Club will continue throughout the autumn as part of OKU Andalusia’s wellness offering. The exclusive programme of experiences invites guests to practise yoga, Pilates and sound healing in classes guided by mindful movement and restorative techniques. The sessions are rounded off with an OKU x Pangaia intention card to encourage guests to carry their intentions beyond the practice itself.
To round off the wellness offering, the hotel features two gyms: one equipped for cardiovascular exercise, overlooking the gardens; and another designed for strength training.
So much more to discover
The appeal of OKU Andalusia lies not only in the hotel itself: the surrounding landscapes and villages also invite you to discover the true essence of Andalusia.
The resort is a great starting point for getting away from the big cities and exploring the White Villages route, with stops in Casares, with its narrow, steep streets and whitewashed houses; to experience the region’s culinary traditions at a goat farm and learn about the cheese-making process; or to visit Tarifa, where the Levante and Poniente winds create particularly favourable conditions for kitesurfing and windsurfing.
Furthermore, thanks to its location next to the Los Alcornocales Nature Reserve, the area surrounding OKU Andalusia is ideal for organising walks and outdoor excursions along routes that wind through forests and offer sweeping views of the countryside.
