More than 120 guests attended a gathering held at the Mitiko restaurant, which provided an opportunity to review the year’s key milestones and present the latest developments from the hotel chain in Mauritius.
Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels brought together more than 120 guests from the tourism sector yesterday in Madrid at an event held at the Mitiko restaurant, which provided an opportunity to take stock of recent months and look ahead to the next steps. The event was attended by the media, agencies, tour operators, airlines and representatives from Beachcomber, who shared the key developments and events that have shaped the company’s recent activities.
During the evening, Luis González, Regional Manager for Spain and Portugal, and Bruno Bosquet, Head of Market Sales at Beachcomber Hotels, shared with attendees the company’s progress over the past year and the key projects that will shape the coming months. The event was also attended by Lothar Gross, director of the Cannonier and Mauricia hotels, who joined the Beachcomber team for the evening.
The evening also served to recognise the work of the company’s partners. In this context, Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels presented an award to Pangea, as the agency that has generated the most sales for the destination over the past year, highlighting its commitment and contribution to promoting Mauritius and the chain’s offerings amongst Spanish travellers. The award was also made possible thanks to the collaboration of Newblue, which provided the flights to make this recognition possible.
With a proven track record and a clear commitment to continuous improvement, Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels thus reaffirms its role as one of the leading names in luxury hospitality in the Indian Ocean.
A year marked by renovations
Trou aux Biches Beachcomber has been undergoing a major refurbishment programme. The resort has been closed for four months to modernise various areas of the complex and present a new look in line with the rest of the group.
Highlights include the transformation of L’Oasis, with a new design and capacity for up to 450 people, as well as the refurbishment of various suite categories, the creation of a new café and the refurbishment of the boutique. The project also incorporates new measures to strengthen coastal protection.
The reopening, scheduled for 15 October, will coincide with the resort’s 55th anniversary and mark a new chapter for one of the company’s most renowned establishments.
During the meeting, the growing popularity of Trou aux Biches amongst Spanish and Portuguese travellers was highlighted. According to data shared by Beachcomber representatives, the resort is currently the most successful hotel in both markets, overtaking Dinarobin, which had held this position for years.
Ushering in a new season
Looking ahead to the coming years, Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels is entering a new phase marked by major projects. In 2027, the company will celebrate its 75th anniversary, a milestone that will highlight a legacy built up over decades and which brings with it new challenges and opportunities for growth.
Among these, the development of a new project in Zanzibar stands out; the company is working enthusiastically on this project, which represents a new step in its expansion and its commitment to offering hospitality experiences in new destinations.
The event in Madrid also served to strengthen ties with Beachcomber’s various partners in Spain and Portugal and to share with them a vision for the future that upholds the company’s commitment to progress, innovation and excellence in the hospitality sector.
