Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels, the long-standing leader in luxury tourism in Mauritius, participated once again in FITUR 2026, thereby strengthening its position in the Spanish market and showcasing the evolution of its hotel offering.
The event took on special significance, as the company attended the fair on the eve of its 75th anniversary, which will take place in 2027 and highlights its track record as a pioneer and benchmark in the hotel sector in the destination.
During its presence at FITUR, the chain welcomed industry professionals and the general public, showcasing its latest innovations in experiences, wellness and sustainability, as well as its vision for the future, based on service excellence, destination authenticity and long-term commitment to Mauritius.
The year 2025 was particularly positive for Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels. The chain consolidated its position in the Mauritian market with more than 87,000 guests, maintaining a market share of over 11%. The strategic markets of Spain and Portugal recorded growth of over 26%, driven largely by the success of the two direct flights from Madrid to Mauritius operated between June and September, which strengthened air connectivity and brought the destination closer to Spanish travellers. Israel, India and Canada also showed significant increases, while South Africa reaffirmed its leadership with a market share of around 26%.
At the same time, 2025 marked a milestone in the company’s evolution with the renovation of two of its most iconic resorts, Victoria Beachcomber Resort & Spa and Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa, which incorporated modernised spaces, new culinary experiences and an expansion of the sports and wellness offering, in line with the expectations of a more active and conscious traveller.
This year has also been a key one for the chain, with the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Royal Palm Beachcomber Luxury, a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, which reinforced its positioning through innovations in wellness and gastronomy. In addition, the resort collection was modernised with new culinary experiences, renovated spaces and expanded sports and wellness services, in line with the expectations of a more active and conscious traveller.
With eight establishments located in iconic locations in Mauritius — from the imposing silhouette of Le Morne, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to the crystal-clear waters of Blue Bay — Beachcomber combines luxury, authenticity and personalised service. Each establishment offers a unique experience, united by a common philosophy of excellence and care, driven by a team known as the Artisans, specialists in making every stay memorable.
