The international street performing arts festival La Strada will provide a spectacular start to the season from 11 to 14 June 2026. Just a few days later, from 19 to 21 June, the HOEG City Summer Festival invites everyone to celebrate in the city centre. At six iconic locations — including the Market Square, home to the Town Hall and a UNESCO World Heritage Site — around 40 artists will delight the public with a wide variety of music: from folk and rock to singer-songwriter performances. A wide range of food and drink, street art and various literary events round off this three-day event under the city sky.
In July, the spotlight shifts to the Weser: from 1 to 5 July, the popular Breminale draws crowds to the Osterdeich promenade. Amidst illuminated stages, stalls and circus tents, a diverse crowd of visitors and locals enjoys a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of live music, theatre, dance and literary readings. A children’s programme and various attractions (such as a Ferris wheel, a go-kart track and various market stalls) make the festival a lively summer event for the whole family.
The Bremen Wine Festival bids farewell to summer in style
The Hanseatic city’s summer programme of events culminates in the Bremen Wine Festival, an event that delights both wine connoisseurs and lovers of the good life with a selection of wines and regional specialities. From 27 to 30 August, local merchants and winegrowers gather in the Market Square and other iconic spots around the city to showcase everything from local wines to international varieties.
