An initiative whose main aim is to promote professional development and academic excellence through an exchange of experiences between some of Mexico’s most outstanding talents in Spain.
With the aim of strengthening relations between Mexico and Spain, Fundación Casa de México has developed the Fundación Casa de México Scholarships in Spain programme, designed to promote the professional development and academic growth of outstanding Mexican talents in Spain. This programme provides full or partial support for up to 12 months towards tuition fees, accommodation, meals and, in some cases, air travel.
Three types of scholarships
- Talent Development: aimed at professionals in the cultural sector with proven experience who wish to gain experience by collaborating with a prestigious institution in Spain in the areas of exhibition management, conservation and communication, with a view to advancing and enhancing their professional development. Next application deadline: 1 February 2027.
- Academic Training: is aimed at graduates and professionals who wish to undertake a master’s degree at prestigious Spanish institutions in various strategic areas for Mexico, with the aim of stimulating and enhancing their knowledge base in an international environment. Next application deadline: 8 March 2027.
- Artistic Residencies: aimed at visual artists and creators working in disciplines such as painting, sculpture, drawing, installation, photography, video, performance, sound art, textile practices, ceramics, digital arts and interdisciplinary projects. Its aim is to provide a space for creation, research and the exchange of ideas in Madrid for a period of up to three months, during which participants will develop their artistic projects and have the opportunity to present the results publicly at the end of the residency.
Applications are open from 13 July to 31 August 2026.
