CASATUR PRESENTS EL SALVADOR IN MÁLAGA TO THE ANDALUSIAN TOURISM SECTOR

  • Members of the Salvadoran Chamber of Tourism (CASATUR) presented El Salvador as a destination to travel agencies in Andalusia this week at a professional conference held at the AEDAV headquarters in Torremolinos (Málaga).

  • The meeting is part of the Chamber’s international promotion efforts to strengthen the country’s presence in the Spanish market.

The session allowed Andalusian agents to learn first-hand about El Salvador‘s tourism offering, with a special focus on its natural and cultural diversity, its gastronomic identity and the country’s potential for designing new products and experiences aimed at European travellers.

The presentation was given by Carlos Umaña, president of the Chamber, and Ricardo Granillo, member of the board of directors, representatives of the Salvadoran private tourism sector, who outlined the main keys to the destination’s positioning, its connectivity, the evolution of its tourism offer and the opportunities it offers for marketing in Spain.

During the meeting, CASATUR emphasised the importance of travel agencies as strategic influencers, as well as the need to strengthen collaboration between operators, entrepreneurs and tourism entities to boost the flow of travellers and generate medium and long-term alliances.

The conference was also attended by entrepreneurs and representatives of the Salvadoran tourism sector, which fostered direct dialogue with the travel agents in attendance and a professional exchange aimed at identifying common interests and future avenues for cooperation.

This initiative is part of CASATUR’s international outreach strategy, which focuses on consolidating El Salvador’s image as an emerging destination in key markets and strengthening relations with the Spanish tourism business community, especially at the regional level.
