CASTIZO REINVENTS THE CLASSIC SANDWICH WITH THE CHULAPITOS

CASTIZO REINVENTA EL BOCADILLO DE TODA LA VIDA CON LOS CHULAPITOS
  • A new offering in mini format that invites you to try, share and not have to choose just one.

At Castizo, Madrid’s classics always have a place at the table, this time in a new version. The restaurant presents Los Chulapitos, a small menu of mini mollete-style sandwiches that brings together some of the most recognisable flavours of our cuisine in irresistible bites, designed so you can order several and enjoy them all.

The idea is to rediscover the pleasure of traditional sandwiches and present them in a more informal, light-hearted and sociable format. Their size and variety make them perfect for placing in the centre of the table, trying different flavours and discovering which one becomes everyone’s favourite.

Timeless classics, in ‘chulapita’ style

Squid, sirloin steak sandwich, burger, piripi, Spanish omelette and scrambled eggs with ham. Six recipes that form part of Madrid’s most popular cuisine, presented by Castizo in a different format whilst retaining their down-to-earth, flavourful and uncomplicated essence. From the calamari sandwich – a staple of traditional Madrid culture – to the sirloin pepito or scrambled eggs with ham, the new menu invites you to enjoy these classics in a more dynamic and communal way.

A new way to enjoy

The mini format makes ordering part of the experience and encourages guests to mix and match different flavours at the same table. With this new offering, Castizo once again draws on tradition from a contemporary perspective, preserving the essence of Madrid’s cuisine whilst adapting it to a more spontaneous way of enjoying food.

The ‘Chulapitos’, priced between €4.50 and €6.90, are available for both lunch and dinner at all Castizo restaurants: C/ Alcalá, 19; C/ Velázquez, 97; Plaza del Ángel, 9; C/ Serrano, 4; C/ Francisco de Rojas, 2; Camino de la Zarzuela, 23 (Aravaca), and C/ Alcalá, 141 (Goya).

Because classic flavours work, but being able to try a variety of them makes the experience even better.
