Cathay Pacific, the Hong Kong-based premium airline, resumed its seasonal summer flights between Barcelona and Hong Kong last March, thereby strengthening connectivity between Barcelona-El Prat Airport and the heart of the Asia-Pacific region.
This is the only non-stop route between the Catalan capital and one of the major international metropolises, crucial for both business and leisure travel, whilst also serving as a gateway to the Asian continent.
Via Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), one of the world’s leading aviation hubs, passengers can easily connect to the airline’s extensive network of destinations across the Asia-Pacific region, including Mainland China, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines.
This seasonal summer route will operate from 30 March to 24 October 2026, with four weekly return flights on Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Cathay Pacific operates this direct route using the Airbus A350-900, designed for long-haul flights. Passengers will be able to enjoy the airline’s award-winning in-flight entertainment system, recognised as the World’s Best at the latest Skytrax World Airline Awards, as well as complimentary in-flight Wi-Fi, available to Business Class passengers, Cathay members travelling in Premium Economy, and Cathay Diamond and Gold members travelling in any class.
