  • From 9 November, it will add 208 flights, providing 39,164 additional seats.

  • This boost represents a 44 per cent increase on the capacity planned for the rest of the month.

  • The expansion includes flights to Seville, Málaga, Jerez, Granada and Almería.

  • The maximum price for flights between Madrid and Andalusia is capped at 99 euros one way in economy class until 30 November.

Iberia will increase its capacity in Andalusia from 9 November until 30 November. During this period, the airline will add 208 flights, providing customers with 39,000 additional seats. This represents a 44 per cent increase on the capacity originally planned for those dates.

The additional services will cover all the airports in Andalusia where Iberia operates, with extra flights between Madrid and Seville, Málaga, Jerez, Granada and Almería. The breakdown by destination is as follows:

  • Seville: 84 extra flights and 16,142 seats.
  • Málaga: 62 additional flights and 11,862 seats.
  • Jerez: 36 additional flights and 6,480 seats.
  • Granada: 14 additional flights and 2,520 seats.
  • Almería: 12 additional flights and 2,160 seats.

The schedule also includes upgrades to the aircraft type on some previously planned routes: 18 flights on the Seville route (nine in each direction) and 10 on the Málaga route (five in each direction).

Iberia is thus expanding the additional capacity to Andalusia that it began rolling out on 28 October in response to the increase in demand following the train accident in Urda (Toledo). From that date until 30 November, the airline will offer 61,402 additional seats.
