Since its foundation in San Francisco in 1981, Kimpton has been associated with a culture of inclusive hospitality. To mark Pride Month and coinciding with the Marbella Pride celebrations, Kimpton Los Monteros has put together a special programme which, over several weeks, will bring together culture, gastronomy, entertainment and social commitment.
A toast to diversity
Throughout the month, the hotel will be offering a Pride Month Spritz Menu, a menu linked to the Pride celebrations which will include a special cocktail: the Pride Spritz. Furthermore, for every Pride Spritz sold, 2 euros will be donated to the Eddy-G Foundation, an organisation dedicated to supporting vulnerable young people from the LGTBIQ+ community.
Kimpton Los Monteros turns pink for Marbella Pride
On 26 June, to coincide with Marbella Pride, Kimpton Los Monteros will illuminate its façade with pink lights as a symbol of celebration, visibility and support for diversity. In addition, the hotel will host the Pride Social Hour in its courtyard, an event open to the public and specially designed for guests and hotel staff, bringing together guests, visitors and employees in a warm and festive atmosphere to raise a glass to inclusion.
Kimpton Book Notes: Pride Edition
The programme will continue on 1 July with a special edition of Kimpton Book Notes, the hotel’s book club.
On this occasion, the guest will be Juan Carlos Ahijón, author of *Bajo el cielo de Madrid*, who will take part in an informal conversation with attendees in a format designed to encourage dialogue and the exchange of ideas. Each participant will receive a copy of the book as part of the experience. The conversation will be moderated by the journalist Bertie Espinosa, editor-in-chief of Essence Mag.
DJ Pepino Marino at Escondido
On 3 July, Escondido Rooftop will once again become a venue for celebration with a special event headlined by DJ Pepino Marino, an occasion that will bring together music, culture and a festive spirit in one of the hotel’s most iconic spaces.
Confessions Service
The programme will culminate on 9 July with Confessions Service by Kimpton Los Monteros, a podcast designed as a space to share stories, experiences and reflections on identity, creativity and diversity. The session will be hosted by Xenon Spain, who will be in conversation with a very special guest.
A commitment that extends beyond June
In addition to the activities open to the public, Kimpton Los Monteros will be running various internal initiatives for its team over the coming weeks, focusing on diversity, inclusion and awareness-raising. This reinforces Kimpton’s vision of understanding inclusion not as a one-off campaign, but as a way of building community and hospitality throughout the year.
This commitment is also part of the brand’s legacy towards its employees.
