Since 1 May, the German airline Condor has been operating three daily flights between Barcelona and Frankfurt.
Via the Frankfurt hub, travellers flying from Catalonia have access to Condor’s global network, with over 70 destinations across Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia. On long-haul flights from Frankfurt, passengers enjoy the excellent in-flight experience on board the Condor A330neo.
“From Barcelona, travellers now have three daily flights to our Frankfurt hub, allowing them to connect comfortably to an extensive network of long-haul destinations in the Americas, Asia and Africa, as well as to numerous European cities. “The combination of staggered flight times, a completely refurbished Business Class and one of the youngest fleets in Europe enables us to offer a strong proposition to both leisure and business travellers,” says Carsten Sasse, Director of Sales for OTAs and Strategic Markets at Condor.
Since 2022, Condor has completely modernised its long-haul product. Currently, all long-haul flights are operated using the Airbus A330neo. At the same time, the airline is making progress with the renewal of its short- and medium-haul fleet, and will introduce a total of 43 new aircraft from the Airbus A32Xneo family by 2029.
The long-haul Business Class on board the A330neo offers lie-flat seats with a surface area of 199 centimetres and direct aisle access from every seat. The 43.9 cm screens with 4K resolution feature a remote control, USB-A and USB-C ports, a power socket and Bluetooth connectivity for passengers’ own headphones. The service includes gourmet menus to suit all tastes, complimentary drinks (including champagne), a travel kit with slippers and access to Business Class lounges at airports worldwide.
For those seeking even greater exclusivity, the four Prime Seats in the front row of Business Class offer a lying surface of up to 209 centimetres. In addition, the Prime Seats feature a 61 cm (24-inch) 4K screen, Wi-Fi from take-off to landing and exclusive additional amenities, such as a snack basket with an expanded selection of snacks and drinks, and comfortable pyjamas featuring Condor’s popular design.
A cornerstone of Condor’s responsible use of resources is the ongoing modernisation of its fleet. The A330neo consumes just 2.1 litres of fuel per passenger per 100 kilometres compared with aircraft of a similar size, reducing CO₂ emissions by up to 20 per cent and noise pollution by up to 60 per cent. The A330neo is therefore one of the few aircraft already certified to meet the CO₂ reduction targets due to come into force in 2028.
In addition to its modern fleet, Condor offers its passengers various options to actively support the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and selected climate protection projects. Since 2024, Condor has been offering its customers the ‘climate contribution’, through which passengers can voluntarily support the promotion of SAF and certified projects either during or after booking. During the booking process, passengers also have the option to choose the ‘Green Fare’, available on all routes and booking classes, and thus make an individual contribution to sustainability.
Flights from Barcelona are available from 42.99 euros one way and can be booked via Condor’s website or through travel agents.
