  • Building on two decades of leadership in customer experience and hospitality, the airline is unveiling its largest investment in nearly 30 years.

Delta is unveiling the new era of Delta One, with an investment that elevates in-flight dining, hospitality and rest. The result of two decades of understanding its customers and backed by the largest investment in the airline’s history — on top of the more than $1 billion already invested in its fleet — the revamped Delta One has been meticulously designed, encompassing thousands of touchpoints to deliver an unrivalled journey.

The revamp will first roll out this autumn on Delta One’s transoceanic routes departing from Los Angeles International Airport — where Delta offers the most premium seats and remains the city’s number one airline — and will be extended across its entire global network by early 2027.

“Delta’s completely redesigned experience is designed to meet the real needs and desires of our customers, with a clear intention behind every detail,” says Ranjan Goswami, Delta’s Chief Marketing and Product Officer. “Every investment we make is deliberate and designed to deliver the most premium end-to-end travel experience in the industry. This elevated dining and hospitality offering reflects our ongoing commitment to raising the bar, whilst giving customers greater control throughout their journey.”

Delta One: what’s new

  • New Delta One menu: a revamped menu focusing on elevated classics, featuring ingredients of the very highest quality and new additions such as the Delta One® Wagyu burger, a regionally inspired Hong Kong-style sea bass and a sorbet pairing with Taittinger Champagne.
  • Refreshed hospitality and tableware: a reimagined service experience and new tableware elevate the hospitality, offering customers more choice, functionality and comfort at every meal.
  • More personalisation: expanded pre-selection options include gluten-free menus, lighter choices and pre-arrival selections for guests prioritising rest, whilst the main course can be pre-selected with an additional six hours’ notice (up to 18 hours before departure).
  • Delta welcomes Blanton’s: customers can now enjoy one of the most sought-after bourbon labels.
  • Delta One wines: developed in collaboration with Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson and SkyMiles customers, the new programme is designed to complement the revamped dining experience and includes favourites from La Rioja, Napa and other international labels, as well as an expansion of the established partnership with Champagne Taittinger.

Culinary renewal: timeless gastronomy for the modern traveller

Delta’s culinary team has worked alongside chef Simon Hulstone and Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson to develop a food and drink programme based on craftsmanship, quality and consistency.

To ensure that regional dishes bring local authenticity and genuine inspiration, Delta has also collaborated with renowned chefs Norio Ueno and Jereme Leung. Meticulous in their craft, both chefs will continue to advise on the programme so that Delta can offer consistent and recognisable dishes that customers from all regions will enjoy.

From speciality cheeses and premium baking ingredients to carefully selected proteins and fresh produce, every nuance and every offering has been chosen to enhance flavour, texture and consistency. Highlights include:

  • Delta One® Wagyu beef burger with caramelised onions, cheddar cheese and gherkins on a lightly toasted brioche bun, cooked and plated to ensure this premium beef product delights the palate.
  • Roasted sea bass with tomato and tarragon sauce, grilled asparagus and parsley mashed potatoes.
  • Lamb stewed in red wine demi-glace, Lyon-style potatoes, grilled asparagus and sautéed spinach.
  • Veal rib with red wine demi-glace, thin green beans, baby carrots, roasted shallots and potato gratin.
  • Creamy seasonal risotto, which retains its texture at high altitude and includes wild mushrooms, Parmesan, roasted courgette and cherry tomatoes.
  • Macaroni and cheese topped with garlic breadcrumbs.
  • Caesar salad with chicken as the main course, featuring crisp romaine lettuce, parsley, Parmesan and Caesar dressing.
  • Croissant filled with chicken salad, hummus and crudités – all new additions offered as a mid-flight meal.

In addition, the iconic Delta One dessert trolley continues a much-loved tradition and now features enhanced options and a wide variety to choose from:

  • The classic sundae, with a new exclusive chocolate sauce, premium Amarena cherries in syrup and pecan praline crumble, accompanied by a soft, fluffy doughnut.
  • A new dairy-free sorbet with an optional splash of Taittinger Champagne – a light, elegant and refreshing choice for after dinner.
  • A fruit and cheese platter inspired by the Napa Valley, bringing together flavours from Northern California with Cowgirl Creamery’s Mt. Tam and Hop Along cheeses, Cypress Grove’s Humboldt Fog cheese and Rustic Bakery’s Artisan Crisps.

Tableware inspired by Delta’s legacy

A new Delta One tableware collection combines elegance with operational precision. Developed following an exhaustive research process, each piece has been designed to elevate hospitality, offer personalised in-flight service and create a refined setting for the dining experience. The shape, material, colour and the way the pieces complement one another all contribute to the overall impression: every subtle detail is intended to significantly enhance the meal.

Tailor-made: more options for travelling

The revamped Delta One experience offers customers greater control during their journey. Expanded pre-selection options include lighter alternatives, such as salads with added protein, whilst long-haul customers who prefer to make the most of their sleep can choose to skip the breakfast service and enjoy a coffee and a croissant instead before landing.

Delta also offers customers greater flexibility when planning their journey, extending the window for pre-selecting their main course to 18 hours before departure — six hours longer than before — making Delta the only US airline to offer such a late pre-booking window.

“Luxury is about an experience designed around you: today’s premium traveller values both choice and quality,” says Kristen Manion Taylor, SVP – Brand Experience at Delta. “These enhancements offer greater flexibility and ensure that every Delta One customer can enjoy their journey in the way that suits them best.”

In addition to the meal, a new welcome amenity, “sip and settle” — a warm towel, warm nuts and a drink — has been introduced; this is placed on the tray table in advance so that customers can continue with their pre-meal ritual without interruption. Furthermore, a freshly ground pepper service has been added for the starter, and sauce boats are provided to accompany the main courses, with the aim of offering greater flexibility without compromising the dining experience.

New, iconic beverage partners and revamped amenities

As the first and only airline to welcome Blanton’s, one of the most sought-after bourbon labels, Delta One is proud to serve this exceptional single barrel bourbon, whose limited production and global demand have made it a cherished favourite amongst collectors and connoisseurs alike.

From its iconic horse-and-rider stopper to its tradition of inspecting, filling, sealing and labelling each bottle by hand, Blanton’s and Delta share a deep commitment to preserving and celebrating tradition. Bottled at 46.5% ABV, this single barrel bourbon features intense notes of dried vanilla in harmony with hints of honey, against a distinct backdrop of caramel and maize.

Delta has reduced its wine rotation from four times a year to twice a year, ensuring greater consistency for both customers and cabin crew. In collaboration with Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson and loyal SkyMiles members, 1,600 wines were evaluated, resulting in a final selection of 13 wines from 11 wineries to be served on board between October 2026 and September 2027.

The new Delta One wine programme has been curated to complement the revamped culinary experience and includes iconic Napa wines, such as Silver Oak, which retails for over $200 a bottle. This, alongside the expanded partnership with Champagne Taittinger — now also available on Delta One domestic flights — completes its largest investment in premium wines to date.

A curated selection of cocktails and mocktails, designed to meet the growing demand for non-alcoholic drinks, includes both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions of two refreshing classics: the Hugo Spritz and the Paloma.

Building on the immense popularity of the mocktails served in Delta One Lounges, these carefully crafted drinks bring that same elevated experience on board and offer options for all guests. They will be available on international routes in March 2027 and on domestic routes in April 2027.

Dassai, the prestigious premium sake brewery in the mountains of Iwakuni (Japan), will be introduced to Delta One from 3 November on all flights to and from Tokyo-Haneda. Crafted from Yamada Nishiki rice polished down to 45 per cent of its original size, Dassai 45 is renowned for its elegant, fruity aroma and the gentle sweetness of the rice itself. It is a refined and authentically Japanese sake that pairs perfectly with the regional dishes of chef Norio Ueno, adding a touch of distinction to the Delta One flying experience to Japan.

New Missoni toiletries bags: the Winter Elsewhere collection

From 3 November, Delta One’s new Missoni toiletries bag will take the Winter Elsewhere collection to the skies, featuring a nature-inspired design and a first-of-its-kind wrist strap, designed to be used long after landing. Inside, customers will find a carefully curated selection of premium essentials, including exclusive skincare products from Grown Alchemist, a Marvis dental kit and comfort items from the Missoni brand, selected to promote hydration, relaxation and wellbeing throughout the journey.

As sleep remains a key priority for Delta One customers, Delta continues to raise the bar for in-flight rest. In addition to its upgraded mattress, memory foam pillow, slippers and eye mask, Delta will introduce a second Missoni pillow on both international and domestic Delta One routes, offering an even more restful sleep experience in the air.

Hospitality: the key ingredient

Although the menus, ingredients, partnerships and tableware are new, the experience remains rooted in what has always set Delta apart: its people.

“Hospitality has always been Delta’s greatest differentiator, and it starts with our people,” says Manion Taylor. “From the initial concepts through to testing and roll-out, our cabin crew and teams have helped shape this experience with their knowledge and input, ensuring that every detail works for our customers and reflects the hospitality that sets Delta apart.”

More than 200 cabin crew members and Delta staff helped shape the experience over a period of more than 14 months, contributing over 200 suggestions and comments across four testing phases and 36 dedicated test flights. Their input influenced everything from the redesign of service elements — such as the tea service and the presentation of sauces — to the development of more than 60 new pieces of tableware. The result is a Delta One experience carefully designed for customers by the people who bring it to life every day.

Delta’s premium strategy, on a larger scale

The new era of Delta One dining is the latest chapter in Delta’s premium transformation. With connectivity — nearly 1,300 aircraft currently equipped with Delta Sync Wi-Fi, covering over 95 per cent of the fleet —, a seamless ground experience, lounges, personalised digital experiences, next-generation in-seat screens, in-flight products, partnerships and the most restorative experience in the air, Delta continues to set the standard for a more connected, seamless and elevated journey across its extensive global network.

“No airline has invested so decisively in redefining premium travel,” says Goswami. “From connectivity and personalised entertainment to dedicated security check-ins, Porsche transfers to the tarmac*, state-of-the-art aircraft and Delta One cuisine, every investment is part of a deliberate strategy to deliver the most consistent and elevated customer experience in the industry.”

Taken together, these investments reflect Delta’s firm commitment to continuing to lead the industry and raising the standard of premium travel.
