Depending on the market, the central star is also illuminated.
A contrasting gloss-black panel visually connects the chrome grille with the headlamps, creating an elegant, seamless unit. The new headlamps, with a star-shaped design for the daytime running lights, make the new C-Class instantly recognisable both by day and by night. On the saloon, the rear lights also feature the attractive star design.
This unique lighting signature reinforces the impact of the athletic design and lends the new C-Class additional emotional appeal.
A special moment every time you enter the car
In the new C-Class, even getting in and out of the car becomes a special moment. For the first time, a light projector has been integrated into the side sills. When the doors are opened, the C-Class welcomes or bids farewell to its occupants by projecting a Mercedes-Benz pattern onto the ground. In addition, the exterior mirrors project the Mercedes-Benz star alongside the vehicle. It is an emotional gesture that not only creates a sense of occasion but also improves night-time visibility.
Sporty refinement with a new dimension
The powerful contours of the new bumpers, with their voluminous surfaces and precise, dynamically flowing edges, accentuate the sporty character of the C-Class. The gloss black inserts and slim chrome elements on the sides of the front bumper emphasise the vehicle’s width, whilst a chrome trim on the front underrun guard adds an elegant touch. A new 18-inch wheel, alongside wheel options ranging from 17 to 19 inches, emphasises the dynamic silhouette. Two new 19-inch AMG wheels are also available.
Two new paint finishes with emotional depth enrich the colour palette. They emphasise the classic elegance of the new C-Class, whilst offering innovative interpretations of colour: the elegant Lavender Silver Metallic and the expressive Melancholic Sky Grey Metallic. The latter is a subtle blue-grey shade that reveals new facets depending on the light and reflects the driver’s individuality.

Music playback can also be specifically directed towards the first or second row of seats. Conversely, the sound can be centred on the rear seats when the driver prefers a quieter atmosphere. The new automatic selection function is particularly convenient: by detecting whether seat belts are fastened, the sound focus is optimally adjusted according to the vehicle’s occupancy.
A wide range of options for personalised ambient lighting
Ambient lighting also creates a distinctive atmosphere in the new C-Class. With 64 colours to choose from and ten colour themes, it offers the perfect lighting scenario for almost any mood and driving situation. Directly illuminated light lines elegantly run along the sides of the centre console, across the dashboard and all the way to the front and rear door handles, creating a warm and enveloping ambience. The brightness can be adjusted across five levels, whilst four dimming zones allow for precise adaptation to personal preferences.
In addition, high-resolution ambient styles are available via a dedicated app. The background themes, designed with great attention to detail, range from calm to intense, from cool to warm and from technical to emotional. They enhance the impact of the displays and allow customers to further personalise the interior atmosphere. The colours of the instrument cluster, the controls and the ambient lighting are harmoniously coordinated with the respective themes.
Intelligent interaction transforms light into an active companion. A striking welcome scene greets occupants as they enter the vehicle. When the climate control temperature is adjusted, the ambient lighting responds with a colour change. When the doors are opened, the system automatically adjusts the brightness. The active blind-spot assist uses discreet red flashes on the door handles to warn of the presence of other road users. The new C-Class combines emotion and care, creating an interior that actively supports its occupants.
New interior colours and trim elements
Every surface, seam and material has been selected with great attention to detail. Two new upholstery colours and three new trim elements expand the scope for personalisation. Inspired by the world of luxury fashion, the warm beech brown lends the interior an elegant and welcoming atmosphere. It is available for ARTICO man-made leather, leather and nappa leather. The intense cherry red creates striking accents and is available for seats in ARTICO man-made leather. For the first time, AMG Line leather seats feature moccasin-style stitching on the sides. On nappa leather seats, contrasting piping and topstitching perfectly highlight their high-quality character. The new trim elements – open-pore light birch, anthracite birch and high-gloss silver metallic fabric – further enhance the premium look and feel of the interior.

Confident: high-tech electrified combustion engines for effortless everyday performance
A more powerful and agile driving experience with intelligent support when it matters
The new C-Class offers exactly the choice of powertrains that customers need today: future-ready petrol and diesel engines, as well as plug-in hybrids. This means the new saloon and the new Estate fit effortlessly into a wide variety of lifestyles, from daily commutes and long business journeys to family holidays. Mercedes‑Benz has carefully developed the entire range of engines and prepared them for the upcoming Euro 7 emissions standard. At the same time, the chassis control has been further refined. The result: the new C-Class impresses with more power, greater efficiency and a more agile driving experience.
Efficiency and performance in perfect harmony
The range of internal combustion engines includes advanced, high-tech four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines across various power outputs. Thanks to integrated mild-hybrid technology, they deliver a new level of efficiency and performance. All engines are fitted with the second-generation integrated starter-generator (ISG 2.0), which provides up to 17 kW of additional power and 205 Nm of additional torque. It also intelligently supports the combustion engine at low revs. Together with turbocharging, it ensures spontaneous response and more efficient load transitions. The 48-volt electrical system enables functions such as coasting and energy recovery, contributing to significant fuel savings.
With the support of the ISG, the engines start up extremely quickly and smoothly. As a result, the start-stop function is barely noticeable to the driver, as is the transition from coasting with the engine off to powerful propulsion from the internal combustion engine. At idling speed, the intelligent interaction between the ISG 2.0 and the internal combustion engine ensures excellent smoothness. All engine variants are already designed to meet the strict requirements of forthcoming legal regulations.
Two-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with new electric auxiliary compressor
The further-developed M 254 EVO four-cylinder petrol engine has a displacement of two litres and features a new electric auxiliary compressor, which delivers strong pulling power even at low revs. Despite its powerful performance, the engine is economical and low-emission. Powered by the 48-volt electrical system, the electric auxiliary supercharger accelerates to very high speeds in milliseconds. It specifically overcomes the delay normally associated with a turbocharger (turbo lag) and delivers linear power, particularly when pulling away, accelerating out of bends or during mid-range acceleration.
In the new C-Class, the petrol engine is available in three power outputs. In the most powerful model, the C 300, it delivers 190 kW (258 CV) and a rated torque of 400 Nm. The C 250 develops 160 kW (218 CV) and a maximum torque of 320 Nm, whilst the C 200 offers 130 kW (177 CV) and 270 Nm.

Biofuel-compatible four-cylinder diesel engine
The further refined four-cylinder diesel engine (OM 654 EVO) delivers generous power and is available in two power variants, with 120 kW (163 CV) and 147 kW (200 CV). The variable-geometry turbocharger and the 2,200 bar common-rail direct injection system optimise responsiveness, combustion, emissions and fuel consumption, whilst being compatible with HVO100, B10 and B20 biofuels.
Precision-tuned suspension for enhanced sporty driving pleasure
The new C-Class is noticeably more agile and offers even greater driving pleasure on winding roads. Mercedes‑Benz has specifically optimised the suspension to achieve greater dynamism, whilst maintaining a high level of comfort on long journeys. A stiffer connection and newly tuned, adjustable damping reduce body movements and enable the C-Class to respond more directly, precisely and safely. The precise guidance of the front wheels via four-link suspension on each side contributes significantly to the vehicle’s dynamic handling. At the rear, a five-link suspension design ensures high-quality wheel guidance and straight-line stability. In this way, the new C-Class combines greater driving enjoyment with the confident composure that makes long journeys so comfortable.
Rear-axle steering for greater agility and everyday comfort
Building on its predecessor, the new C-Class continues to feature rear-axle steering. Still relatively uncommon in this segment, this technology further enhances agility and manoeuvrability to a level more typical of higher vehicle classes. With a steering angle of up to 2.5 degrees, it reduces the turning circle by 43 centimetres to 10.64 metres. Thanks to the more direct steering ratio on the front axle, the driver needs fewer turns of the steering wheel from lock to lock.
At speeds below 100 km/h, the rear wheels turn in the opposite direction to the front wheels. This effectively shortens the wheelbase depending on the situation, making the vehicle more manoeuvrable, nimble and agile. At speeds above 100 km/h, the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front wheels. The resulting virtually extended wheelbase offers noticeable advantages: greater driving stability and safety at high speeds, during rapid lane changes or sudden evasive manoeuvres. Furthermore, dynamic manoeuvres require significantly less steering input. The new C-Class responds more sportily to steering inputs, supported by the integrated driving dynamics control of the ESP®.
Exceptionally quiet interior
The already established high standard of acoustic and vibration comfort has been further enhanced through numerous detailed measures. Advanced aerodynamics – with a drag coefficient from 0.24 for the saloon and from 0.26 for the Estate – reduce wind noise at source, aided by redesigned exterior mirrors and aeroacoustically optimised mountings. The aerodynamic design of the rear edge of the boot lid, including the integrated shape of the spoiler, as well as the side separation edges on the rear lights, minimise turbulence and the associated noise. An additional seal on the windscreen further reduces wind noise. The exhaust system is now suspended using a cage-type arrangement that significantly reduces the transmission of vibrations. Refined insulation packages and specific acoustic measures contribute to a quiet interior environment, even when accelerating and at high speeds. For customers, this translates into greater peace and relaxation on every journey.
Advanced navigation with visual support
With MBUX Surround Navigation, visual interaction also reaches a new level. Supported by cameras and sensors, it seamlessly combines a real-time 3D representation of the surroundings and route guidance with directional arrows, alongside the driver assistance view. Other road users, such as cars, bicycles, motorbikes and pedestrians, are also displayed. Drivers benefit from improved situational awareness, as they can see what the C-Class sees and how the assistance systems are operating.
For the first time, the augmented reality navigation featured in the S-Class and the EQS is also available in the new C-Class. In addition to the standard head-up display content, such as speed, warnings and speed limits, this intuitive augmented reality support helps drivers anticipate and carry out complex driving manoeuvres more easily. Relevant information and actions are displayed three-dimensionally within the real driving environment.
A familiar route guide: intelligent navigation based on Google Maps
In the new C-Class, the navigation experience is based on Google Maps. Developed as part of the collaboration between Google and Mercedes‑Benz, this navigation solution incorporates innovative features. It is among the first systems to integrate Google Cloud’s new Automotive AI Agent for in-vehicle conversational services, seamlessly combined with Google Maps. When conversing with the MBUX Virtual Assistant, users can now also search for charging stations and parking spaces, and receive information including their availability.
State-of-the-art driver assistance and parking systems with MB.DRIVE
The new C-Class is equipped with up to 10 cameras, five radar sensors and 12 ultrasonic sensors to provide first-class driver assistance. These sensors work in conjunction with a powerful control unit that uses MB.OS as its central software platform. Artificial intelligence algorithms, trained using large volumes of fleet data, process the sensor information to build an accurate understanding of the surrounding traffic situation.
Depending on the package selected, MB.DRIVE can assist with steering, lane keeping, distance control, braking and acceleration. Among the most advanced optional assistance features is MB.DRIVE ASSIST with Lane Change Assist, which initiates a lane change with a simple tap of the indicator stalk. Building on this, MB.DRIVE ASSIST PLUS can support the driver in complex traffic situations, such as slowing down before stop signs and red traffic lights. MB.DRIVE ASSIST PRO takes relaxed driving to a whole new level. The system enables a seamless point-to-point driving experience, even in dense urban traffic. This feature is initially scheduled for launch in China.
The manoeuvring assistant can brake the vehicle to a standstill when reversing at low speed if the system detects an imminent collision. For added safety when reversing out of a parking space, the assistant warns of detected obstacles and oncoming traffic. The trailer manoeuvring assistant makes driving with trailers easier by providing steering assistance. The integrated articulation angle protection can help prevent a collision between the vehicle and the trailer. The 360° camera parking package is also available for the new C-Class. The system makes it easier to find a parking space, park and exit a parking space: it detects suitable spaces and assists when manoeuvring into and out of them.
The new Extra Digital “reverse function” allows the vehicle, under certain conditions, to automatically reverse along part of the route previously travelled forwards. Whilst this assistant is active, the central display shows the image from the reversing camera and a graphical representation of the planned path. This is particularly useful in traffic situations where it is not possible to turn the vehicle.
Brighter and more efficient: DIGITAL LIGHT with micro-LED technology
With the new generation of DIGITAL LIGHT (optional equipment), the new C-Class offers better visibility and greater safety. Innovative micro-LED technology and a new high-performance chip extend the high-resolution lighting field by around 40 per cent. At the same time, energy consumption is reduced by up to 50 per cent compared with the previous system. All software modules are integrated into MB.OS. The ULTRA RANGE main beam can now be dynamically adjusted to achieve optimum illumination. The partial main beam function improves the detection of poorly lit road users without dazzling others. At the same time, the cornering light adapts precisely to the road’s curvature.
