As part of the ‘Museum in Motion’ programme for families, the ‘Parole… Parole…’ workshop offers an immersion in the creativity of words on Saturday, 7 March at 11:30 a.m. Based on the exhibition Elena Asins. Antígona, the workshop focuses on the final piece by the pioneer of conceptual art in our country, a sculpture in which the artist used the name of the heroine in Greek characters (Aντιγόνη) to form a large-format composition in intense black. With this exhibition, the Museo Picasso Málaga pays tribute to one of the most unique figures in Spanish contemporary art, whose work will be on display until next May.
This workshop invites children and adults to explore visual language, abstraction and classical myths together from a creative and introspective perspective. Inspired by shapes, words and letters, the activity combines collage and stamping so that families can construct images from stamps and calligraphic cut-outs. Shared observation during the visit, together with creative practice in the workshop, will open up a space for imagination, dialogue and the discovery of new forms of expression.
The activity costs €5 per person and includes admission to the museum, a guided tour and workshop materials. All participants must purchase a ticket. The activity will take place in the exhibition rooms and the museum’s education classroom and will last approximately 90 minutes. It is aimed at children aged between 4 and 12, who must be accompanied by adults at all times.
Places are limited and registration is now available on the museum’s website
www.museopicassomalaga.org. You can also register in person at the ticket office.
