- With a culinary concept centred on quality ingredients and seasonal produce, this GLH Singular Restaurants establishment is putting a fresh spin on its classics and launching a menu that is even more flavourful, fresh and contemporary.
- This transformation extends to its visual identity and interior design: brighter spaces, natural materials and a modern colour palette that reinforce its modern-classic character.
- This evolution cements Perrachica’s status as a must-visit in Chamberí, whilst retaining its warm, neighbourhood feel.
Perrachica is turning ten and is celebrating in the only way an icon knows how: by reinventing itself. The most photographed restaurant, and probably the one most frequently mentioned in any Madrilenian’s plans, is embarking on a new chapter in which cuisine, aesthetics and identity come together to mark a new chapter in its history. Perrachica thus demonstrates its maturity: it remains the place you go to ‘just because’, but now with a more refined offering and an experience that goes one step further.
The revamp begins with the menu, a return to basics where the produce takes centre stage and seasonality sets the pace. This philosophy is also reflected in the redesign of its visual identity and an interior design that prioritises clarity, fine materials and a warmer atmosphere. The new culinary offering retains the hits that made it a neighbourhood staple, but incorporates a fresher, more contemporary approach that showcases seasonal ingredients. Among the cold starters, it champions the timeless classics: tuna salad, hummus with nuts, cane honey and crispy aubergines, or such tempting combinations as burrata with sweet tomato or the seasonal tomato and avocado–ventresca duo.
The hot starters retain that authentic Perrachica spirit, but with updated preparations bursting with flavour. Squid rings with a fried egg are set to become a new must-try, whilst the king prawn tacos or the charcoal-grilled eggs with ratatouille are presented with greater care and flavour. There is no shortage of icons such as Iberian ham croquettes or grilled artichokes, which remain the restaurant’s hallmarks. In the rice and pasta section, the menu features new favourites: Sanlúcar prawn abanda rice, macaroni au gratin with León chorizo, and meat and Iberian ham cannelloni, alongside puntalette risotto with mushrooms, truffle and Parmesan. Among the raw dishes, an elegant dish of almadraba tuna sashimi with a grated tomato dressing stands out.
The meat and fish section follows this theme with dishes such as tuna entrecôte with romesco sauce, herb-crusted seared salmon and free-range chicken escalope, alongside the tried-and-tested classics: grilled sirloin steak and the ‘Smash’, which has already become a neighbourhood favourite. Dessert does not disappoint: Perrachica’s great classics—cheesecake, warm biscuit with ice cream, and lemon sorbet—are combined with new sweet creations such as Dubai pistachio tiramisu and gluten-free lemon tart, adding irresistible options to the menu.
To mark its tenth anniversary, Perrachica is unveiling a completely revamped visual identity that consolidates its position as a contemporary classic in Chamberí. Under the new slogan “Chamberí Classic”, the restaurant reaffirms its origins and its connection to the neighbourhood where it was born, celebrating its local, authentic and iconic character.
With this update, Perrachica is embarking on a comprehensive reimagining that encompasses interior design, the menu, uniforms, materials and the service experience, projecting its future as Chamberí’s great modern classic.
The interior design project embraces simplicity and a warm minimalism that eliminates visual “clutter” to focus on authentic materials, natural textures and a serene atmosphere. The industrial essence that has always defined Perrachica remains, but an updated aesthetic is introduced to give the space greater personality.
The DJ booth is transformed into a stage, becoming the focal point for guests thanks to a combination of materials and carefully designed lighting.
The incorporation of new colour schemes, particularly shades of aqua green, and the harmonisation of textures bring a fresh feel. Taken together, the redesign proposes a return to its roots: a cleaner, more minimalist and essential Perrachica, where every element contributes without distracting and where the materials speak for themselves, projecting the essence of this Chamberí icon into a more contemporary and conscious era.
Perrachica is celebrating its tenth anniversary whilst keeping intact what has always made it unique: its neighbourhood spirit, its social energy and its ability to evolve without losing its authenticity. With a more mature menu, a renewed identity and a carefully curated interior, it reaffirms itself as Chamberí’s great modern classic.
