To mark the Hispanidad long weekend, the Picasso Málaga Museum would like to remind visitors that it is open every day, without a break, from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm – a great opportunity for locals and visitors alike to see ‘Pablo Picasso: Structures of Invention’. The Unity of a Work.
Over this weekend and on Hispanic Heritage Day, the Picasso Museum Málaga will be open every day from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm, with the ticket office closing thirty minutes earlier. Furthermore, as usual, this Sunday the Museum will offer free admission during the last two hours of opening, from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm, with entry permitted until 6.30 pm. This initiative enables residents of Málaga and visitors alike to explore the Museum’s collections and exhibitions during one of the city’s busiest periods for tourism.
Visitors to the MPM will be able to explore the galleries of the Palacio de Buenavista, which house Pablo Picasso: Structures of Invention. The Unity of a Work. The result of close collaboration between the Museo Picasso Málaga and the Almine and Bernard Ruiz-Picasso Foundation (FABA), the exhibition brings together nearly one hundred and fifty works that trace different stages of Picasso’s career and offer an insight into his approach to conceiving and developing new formal structures. The exhibition showcases Pablo Picasso’s (1881–1973) extraordinary ability to explore, transform and reinvent forms throughout his career. Through the works brought together in the galleries of the Palacio de Buenavista, visitors can discover how the artist developed innovative solutions and broke new ground, establishing himself as one of the key figures of modern art.
The Museum therefore invites you to make the most of the festive period to discover or revisit an exhibition that offers a comprehensive overview of the unity and diversity of Picasso’s oeuvre.
