Once again, Playa Montroig Camping Resort continues to consolidate its position as one of the best campsites in Europe. The Costa Daurada resort has received awards from the ADAC motoring association in Germany and the ANWB in the Netherlands, two of the most important distinctions in the European camping sector.
The campsite received the ADAC Superplatz award at the CMT Stuttgart trade fair on 16 January. This award is considered the highest recognition in the European camping sector and distinguishes establishments that stand out for their quality and services, awarding them a five-star rating. Playa Montroig Camping Resort is the only Spanish campsite to have received this seal of excellence every year since 1993, maintaining the highest rating for 33 years.
In 2018, it set a precedent by being the first and only Spanish campsite to accumulate 25 consecutive years with the highest rating. This year’s distinction extends this record by eight years, during which Playa Montroig Camping Resort continues to reaffirm itself as one of the most awarded campsites on the continent.
The TopCamping award (in this case, from the ANWB) was presented at the VakantieBeurs fair this January. It recognises the quality of the campsite’s services and its accessibility; in the case of Playa Montroig Camping Resort, it has adapted bungalows and an assisted chair that allows people with reduced mobility to access the swimming pools. The Tarragona campsite has been recognised with this award since its first edition.
The ADAC and ANWB are the most important automobile clubs in their respective countries. Although each award has its own criteria, both organisations collaborate with Pincamp to highlight the best campsites in Europe. Pincamp is a digital platform that highlights and promotes the best European campsites.

About Playa Montroig Camping Resort
Playa Montroig Camping Resort (Mont-roig del Camp, Costa Daurada) has positioned itself as a leader in the camping sector thanks to its facilities and recreational activities geared towards family well-being.
