The 5* resort dresses up the festive season with a blanket of snow and exclusivity, with the magic of Father Christmas for families, a legendary New Year’s Eve Gala and the essence of Christmas cuisine, in a fairytale setting.
Sport Hotel Hermitage & Spa, in Andorra, is decked out in its finest to offer a high-mountain Christmas where the magic of this special time of year comes to life and blends with the most exquisite luxury and maximum comfort. This festive season, the resort has designed a programme of unique experiences for the whole family that will turn every moment into an unforgettable memory, from the excitement of the little ones to the most sybaritic and exclusive celebrations for adults.
Christmas at the Sport Hotel Hermitage & Spa is marked by excitement. As is tradition, Father Christmas himself will arrive in his dog-drawn sleigh on Christmas Eve, 24 December, gliding down from the Pyrenean peaks to the hotel to meet the children and give them their presents in a gathering filled with carols and hot chocolate in the Valira room.
New this year, between 5 and 19 December, the magic will begin before the holidays, as children staying at the hotel will have the unique opportunity to personally deliver their letter to Father Christmas. With prior reservation, a real elf from the North Pole will come to collect them from their rooms to guide them on this special mission until they are brought before the guardian of their dreams, creating a moment of fantasy that anticipates Christmas Eve. This experience is complemented by the hotel’s Kids Club’s full programme of Christmas activities.
Legendary gala with traditional Christmas cuisine
During the key dates of the festive season, the hotel’s restaurants capture the spirit of the season. On the evening of 24th and 25th (Christmas Day) and at midday on 26th December (Boxing Day), diners can enjoy typical Christmas dishes from an exclusive menu available at the Sol i Neu restaurant and the Tradició Grill, allowing them to savour traditional flavours with the resort’s touch of excellence.
The highlight of the festivities will once again be the legendary and exclusive New Year’s Eve Gala. Spread throughout the resort’s luxurious rooms, the evening will begin with a spectacular cocktail party featuring delicacies such as caviar, Iberian ham, oysters and Japanese finger food, created by the hotel’s culinary team, led by chef Jordi Grau. After the cocktail party, an exquisite dinner will be served, paired with the finest wines and champagne. After the grapes, the party will continue with live music and dancing to welcome 2025 with glamour and fun.
As is now tradition, the hotel makes its own handmade sweets, which will be available to guests from the end of November, with creations such as Pecan pie, with caramel, pecans and biscuit gianduja with a touch of spice; Macadamia pie, with macadamia nuts, creamy vanilla and caramelised macadamia nuts with a hint of salt; Herminicker, made with creamy peanut caramel, peanut praline and corn nuts, peanut butter and white chocolate gianduja; and Hermi Ferrero with pistachio textures, all homemade, crunchy gianduja, ganache and pistachio caramel. And for the little ones with a sweet tooth, the hotel offers creations such as Turreo, an Oreo biscuit made into nougat, and Príncipe, a Príncipe biscuit made into nougat. Such is the excitement generated in Andorra by these sweets that they can be purchased by prior reservation.
To complete the luxury experience, the resort’s spectacular spa offers a menu of winter treatments, specifically designed to revitalise body and mind during the colder months, providing a haven of peace and wellbeing.
A 5-star culinary experience
Beyond the Christmas offerings, the dining venues at the Sport Hotel Hermitage & Spa maintain their usual excellence, from the avant-garde Ibaya, with consulting chef Francis Paniego, to the Japanese essence of Koy Hermitage, run by chef Hideki Matsuhisa. For a more casual atmosphere, the Glass Bar offers contemporary cuisine and cocktails, while the Sol i Neu Club Hermitage and Tradició Grill provide a connection to tradition.
The Sport Hotel Hermitage & Spa transforms Christmas celebrations into a comprehensive luxury experience, designed to create unforgettable memories in an environment of exquisiteness and family warmth.
