  • The Valencian Community continues to strengthen its position as one of Spain’s leading summer destinations, not only because of its tourist attractions, but also due to its ability to host major cultural and musical events that set trends.

  • Against this backdrop, this summer will see the arrival of two unmissable events that reflect a new way of approaching festivals: the one-day event format.

A far cry from the traditional multi-day model, this concept has become one of the sector’s major trends, as it concentrates all the energy, the programme and the audience experience into a single day. It is a format that prioritises intensity over duration, and which fits in with a new way of travelling, consuming culture and experiencing live music. The Valencian Community is thus positioning itself as one of the regions where this trend is gaining the most momentum, with events designed to offer complete, memorable and highly concentrated experiences.

Valencia, the capital of electronic music on 25 July

The first of these major events will take place on 25 July in Valencia, with PELIGRO FEST coming to the Estadi Ciutat de València. The city will become the capital of electronic music for a single day in a one-day festival format, designed to concentrate all the energy of live performance into a single, intense and high-impact experience. The event will bring together 15,000 attendees and reinforces Valencia’s position as one of the leading destinations for electronic music in southern Europe.

DJ Nano brings together the big names from the past in Benidorm

Dance music lovers have an unmissable event coming up on 1 August in Benidorm with the arrival of the Oro Viejo Festival by DJ Nano, which will hold its first edition at Skyfest, the city’s new concert venue. The event will bring together 20 artists, two stages and over 12 hours of non-stop music, making it one of the summer’s major musical events on the Costa Blanca.

With over three decades of history linked to electronic music culture, Oro Viejo has become a true generational phenomenon, capable of bringing together thousands of people around the anthems that dominated the dance floors of the late 1990s and early 2000s. The event will feature a special set by DJ Nano to celebrate his 30-year career, as well as an exclusive Tomorrowland Classic Set by Yves V, one of the regulars at the Belgian festival.

The line-up is rounded off by iconic artists from the dance scene such as Alice DJ, Lasgo, Rebeka Brown, Clublanders and La Luna, as well as a tribute to the legacy of La Ruta and performances by historic figures from the Spanish electronic music scene. A day designed to relive great memories, discover new emotions and celebrate the music that has accompanied an entire generation.

Two cities, two concepts and two ways of experiencing live music that confirm a clear trend: the consolidation of the one-day format as one of the major transformations in the sector.

This summer, Valencia and Benidorm are set to become two key destinations on the Mediterranean’s music map, with line-ups that prioritise intensity, artistic quality and the audience experience over the length of the event. This evolution is redefining the way festivals are experienced and places the Valencian Community at the heart of this new era for live culture in Spain and Europe.
