- The Korando, Musso and Rexton models have been chosen by the administration to complete its vehicle fleet.
- The operation was managed by Astara Empresas, the company’s division specialising in sales to public bodies.
On 24 July, the handover of the 21 new KGM vehicles took place; these will now form part of the fleet used by the Valencian Community’s environmental officers, with the aim of improving their operational capacity and facilitating the performance of their daily duties in all kinds of environments.
The new fleet comprises three models tailored to the service’s various operational needs. Specifically, ten units of the KGM Korando have been added – a compact SUV that stands out for its comfort and efficiency for daily journeys; six units of the new KGM Musso, the Korean brand’s pick-up truck which combines high off-road capabilities thanks to its 4WD system with a low-range gearbox, is fitted with a 202 CV diesel engine, and has a load capacity exceeding 1,000 kg and a towing capacity of up to 3,500 kg; and five units of the KGM Rexton, a large SUV which is also fitted with a 202 CV diesel engine and a low-range gearbox, features an automatic gearbox, all-wheel drive and off-road capabilities particularly suited to navigating difficult terrain with ease, as well as a spacious interior designed for long journeys
These vehicles will enable officers to carry out the wide range of duties they perform in the field with greater confidence, including surveys in mountainous terrain, environmental inspections, support in fighting forest fires, the rescue of wildlife, responding to flooding incidents and inspections relating to hunting activities.
The introduction of these models highlights the KGM range’s ability to adapt to demanding working environments, where robustness, traction and reliability are essential qualities.
