Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest hotel franchising company, with approximately 8,300 hotels in nearly 100 countries, confirmed its participation in the next edition of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR), which will take place from 21 to 25 January 2026 in Madrid, Spain.
During the 46th edition of FITUR — the first key annual meeting for the global travel and tourism industry, bringing together more than 250,000 professionals from 156 countries — the company will develop an intense work agenda with entrepreneurs, tour operators and authorities from different destinations, with the aim of consolidating business growth in the European market and promoting new business opportunities for the region, and for hotels in its portfolio in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as in Europe.
Europe currently represents a strategic growth market for Latin America and the Caribbean, especially for hotels in the Caribbean and Mexico, with sustained demand for beach destinations and resorts. In this context, Wyndham’s participation in FITUR is establishing itself as a key platform for continuing to expand business opportunities in this market.
This year, Mexico will participate as FITUR’s Partner Country, a particularly significant event for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, as it is one of its strategic markets. The company recently reinforced its expansion plan with the addition of 15 new properties, reaching a total of 100 hotels in operation with more than 15,800 rooms. With this milestone, Mexico ranks as the sixth country with the highest number of company hotels globally and as the largest market within the LATAMC region.
“Our participation in FITUR is a key opportunity to strengthen ties with strategic partners and continue to promote new business opportunities for the growth of our region. We will strengthen our presence alongside owners, developers, operators and commercial partners, leveraging the Wyndham Advantage, a comprehensive distribution, marketing and technology platform that includes more than USD 375 million in investment in innovation since 2018 and the support of more than 121 million Wyndham Rewards members globally.”, Gustavo Viescas, President, Latin America and the Caribbean, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
On behalf of the company, in addition to Gustavo Viescas, President of WHR for the region, Jimena Faena, VP, Marketing & Revenue Management for Latin America and the Caribbean; María Carolina Pinheiro, VP of Development for Latin America; and Andrés Bernal, Senior Director of Global & Field Sales for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts for Latin America and the Caribbean, will also be in attendance.
In addition, various hotels in the portfolio will accompany Wyndham’s institutional presence during FITUR, including properties from Grupo Costa del Sol in Peru, Wyndham Grand Cancún All Inclusive Resort & Villas, Viva Resorts by Wyndham, Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Rainforest Beach and Golf Resort, Wyndham Palmas Beach & Golf Boutique Resort, both in Puerto Rico, Gran Hotel Europa Santo Domingo Trademark Collection by Wyndham, the All Inclusive Decameron Hotels & Resorts that are part of the Ramada by Wyndham and Trademark Collection by Wyndham portfolio, among others.
In this way, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts reaffirms its commitment to its franchisees by strengthening high-value relationships with key players in the global travel and tourism industry. This opens up new opportunities for innovation, development and strategic networking.
