Ford Spain presents its range of electric vehicles in a winter driving experience at the Astún ski resort, in the heart of the Aragonese Pyrenees. A high mountain environment, snow and sub-zero temperatures provide the perfect setting to demonstrate that electric mobility knows no seasons, and that its efficiency, performance and zero emissions can coexist even in extreme cold conditions.
The experience allowed participants to test Ford’s new electric range first-hand in one of the most demanding environments for any vehicle: mountain roads, slippery surfaces and adverse weather conditions. A real-world context where electric technology demonstrates its responsiveness, stability, thermal management and range.

Electric Ford Explorer: ready for winter
The electric Ford Explorer combines cutting-edge design, advanced technology and a range designed for everyday use and long-distance trips. Available with different battery and drive configurations, it offers up to 798 km of urban range1. Its optimised thermal management system ensures energy efficiency even at low temperatures, while the all-wheel drive version provides stability and control on slippery surfaces. Electric Ford Capri
The iconic name Capri 100% electric reinterprets the sporting spirit in a sustainable way. With a dynamic coupé design and optimised aerodynamics, the new Capri offers an urban range of up to 805 km3 and is available in rear-wheel or all-wheel drive options. Its low centre of gravity improves stability when cornering and in adverse conditions, making it an ideal choice for mountain driving. Available from £38,6474, excluding Auto+ Programme9 subsidies.
Ford Puma Gen
Ford’s best-selling urban car makes the leap to electrification with the Puma Gen-E, a 100% electric compact SUV manufactured in Europe. It offers an urban range of up to 572 km5, adapted to everyday use and optimised efficiency thanks to its lightweight architecture. Its compact size makes it easy to drive on narrow roads and in urban environments, while its energy recovery system and intelligent battery management ensure consistent performance even in cold weather. Auto+ Plan: more subsidies for accessible electrification
Thanks to its European origin, Ford’s electric range can take full advantage of the subsidies offered by the new Auto+ Programme. This is part of the Auto 2030 Plan and introduces a €400 million incentive scheme, retroactive from 1 January 2026.
The Auto+ Programme is based on the EEE (Electric, Economic and European) criteria, with particular emphasis on electric vehicles manufactured in the European Union. Thanks to its production on the continent, a large part of the Ford electric range is eligible for the maximum subsidies.
Thus, the Ford Puma Gen-E, the Ford E-Tourneo Courier and the extended-range Explorer RWD can receive up to €4,500 in aid, while other versions of the Explorer and the new Capri are eligible for €4,0509.
Electrification without limits
