With headquarters in Madrid and offices in Buenos Aires, Miami and Boston, the private aviation company Welojets, founded in 2018 by Alfredo Lisdero and Martín Baldelomá, lands in Europe reinforcing its positioning and offering exclusive and safe travel experiences.

The company is committed to Spain, which due to its strategic geographical position is configured as a key point for connections between Europe, Africa and America, as well as a fundamental point in the revolution of air mobility and green aviation.

Currently, business aviation activity in Spain has exceeded 25% of the pre-pandemic flight volume, corresponding to almost 35,000 international flights during the summer holiday period. The Spanish market has thus become one of the epicentres of private aviation.

The Balearic Islands alone represent approximately 20% of European traffic, which implies a strong investment by international passengers of more than 450 million euros destined to fly to Spain. This strong capital injection, which is reflected throughout the tourism sector, is a competitive advantage for Welojets, one of its objectives being the promotion of business aviation to and from the European market.

In this sense, Welojets has positioned itself as one of the private aviation companies with the greatest future projection, increasing by 34% in 2023 and with a growth forecast of 42% by 2024. This is reflected in its commitment to global expansion, formalising, on the one hand, the opening of a new office in Boston (United States), which will allow for more effective service in the US market; and on the other, the consolidation of its presence in the European market.

In addition, the opening of the Boston office marks an exciting milestone for Welojets and is a significant step forward for the company’s flights with Europe as the United States is the strongest market for business aviation.

With access to more than 7,300 aircraft, the company has been working since 2018 to maintain excellence in all its services by partnering exclusively with certified operators, with the aim of guaranteeing the highest standards of quality and maximum safety on every flight. From private jets and helicopters to an advantageous Group Charter line, the company offers a wide range of options to meet the needs of its most demanding customers.

Green Aviation

One of the maxims of Welojets is its commitment to innovation and sustainability. Thus, the company that is at the forefront of the electric aviation revolution has recently partnered with Electra Aero, a hybrid-electric aircraft manufacturer whose mission is to decarbonise the aviation sector. In this sense, the company is working along the same lines to be able to offer cleaner and more efficient flights in the future. Their goal is to be early adopters of electric aviation, for which several companies are already certifying aircraft that will start operating in the next few years. Welojets is committed to innovation in this regard and their recent partnerships demonstrate this, working towards decarbonising aviation and delivering cleaner, more efficient flights in the future.

In addition, Welojets reaffirms its commitment to safety and excellence by being recognised by ARGUS for the effective application of industry best practices during its flight operations, as well as being a member of The Air Charter Association (The ACA) and the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) of the United States (USA). These affiliations reflect the highest standards of conduct and professionalism that the company maintains in the aviation market.

Gulfstream G550

The latest addition to Welojets’ fleet is the Gulfstream G550, the company’s first jet based in Madrid, which is a key player in the transatlantic and intercontinental market, connecting Europe with the United States, Latin America and Asia.

With seating for 14 passengers, the Gulfstream G550 is one of the most outstanding aircraft in the business aviation sector, with the ability to fly more than 12,000 kilometres, with a range of 13 hours, providing its passengers with a seamless flight.

With a cruising speed of 889 km/h, this jet can fly faster than many other aircraft in its class, significantly reducing travel times. In addition, its ability to reach altitudes of up to 51,000 feet not only provides a smoother flight experience by avoiding congested air traffic, but also optimises fuel consumption, resulting in lower long-term operating costs.

Positioning itself as one of the private aviation companies with the greatest future projection, Welojets consolidates its presence in the European market with the incorporation of this aircraft, which will be joined in the coming months by a BOEING 737 500 with capacity for 90 passengers, destined for large charter groups, which will also be based in Madrid.
