Cathay Pacific is raising the bar for customer experience once again with the introduction of its new Business Aria Suite, creatively reimagined, alongside its new Premium Economy and refreshed Economy on board its refurbished Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

In this new concept, art and craftsmanship have been incorporated into every detail to create a holistic and immersive experience in which comfort, privacy and the feeling of personal space for travellers have been completely reinvented. The result is a smooth and easy journey on board.

Aria Suite leaves no detail to chance. From the seat texture to the adjustable ambient lighting, every aspect has been meticulously designed with you in mind.

In the words of Lavinia Lau, the company’s commercial and customer service director, “At Cathay, we believe in helping people move forward in life. This goal goes beyond simply getting customers to their destinations, and we are deeply rooted in Hong Kong’s identity as a global aviation hub. To strengthen our role in both the industry and the community, we have committed to a significant investment of over HK$100 billion over the next seven years in our fleet, cabin products, lounges and leadership in digital and sustainability, reflecting our confidence in Hong Kong’s long-term growth and position as a key player in global aviation”.

The art of flying in Aria Suite

Carefully crafted and expertly designed, every feature of the new Business Cabin has been designed to offer maximum comfort. Aria Suite is much more than a seat; it is an artistic expression that provides luxurious comfort.

The premium leather headrests are designed to provide soft support for hours of restful sleep on the spacious reclining bed, lined with ethically sourced Rohi wool for absolute comfort throughout your flight.

Conceptually, the Aria Suite is perfect, combining high standards of comfort and quality with total privacy and technologically advanced amenities, including individual 24-inch 4K screens with Bluetooth audio streaming for enjoying movies in the sky. The in-flight entertainment system provides fast and accurate navigation with flight information via a state-of-the-art interactive map, information on which toilets are available, and any other information you may require.

Touchscreen controls allow you to customise the space with a single touch, such as ambient lighting, while secondary buttons are within easy reach even in bed mode.

Whether you’re using the journey to work or enjoying music on your phone, all your devices can be charged thanks to the Aria Suite’s wireless charging function, and you can enjoy free Wi-Fi on board throughout your journey.

Intuitively designed storage spaces allow all hand luggage to be easily within reach. The personal compartment is lined with premium leather and features an embroidered tray. It also has a sliding glove compartment with a drawer, perfect for storing small items.

The new seat control interface, winner of the Red Dot Design Award, allows for a wide range of customisable settings, in addition to presets such as ‘Relax’, “Work” and ‘Sleep’.

Each suite is lit by a lamp that automatically adjusts its brightness according to the ambient lighting. For added comfort, the armrest on the aisle side is lined with premium leather and can be adjusted downwards to extend the reclining bed surface.

High-flying cuisine

At Cathay, they understand that the difference is in the details, which is why they invite you to savour the world from above with an exclusive in-flight dining experience.

Their commitment to service focuses on providing quality food. From selecting ingredients to designing menus and meticulously preparing each dish, they strive to offer memorable culinary experiences in flight, such as savouring Hong Kong’s most iconic dishes, enjoying healthy and sustainable options to recharge your batteries, or indulging in a selection of international cuisine designed to awaken your taste buds.

Cathay’s commitment to its roots also extends to the palate with Hong Kong favourites such as dim sum, noodle soups and egg tarts. From irresistible snacks found at street stalls to Michelin-starred Cantonese cuisine, Hong Kong’s food is as diverse as it is delicious. That’s why they focus on local flavours to celebrate the best of the city’s cuisine and give you a taste of home.

But Cathay also strives to make all its in-flight menus, with a wide range of international flavours, as authentic and delicious as possible.

Cathay is proud of its partners, with whom it shares a commitment to quality cuisine, working with them to ensure that every journey is an unforgettable experience.

The collaboration with Michelin-starred restaurant Yat Tung Heen is particularly noteworthy, offering a ‘Flavours of Hong Kong’ menu featuring refined Cantonese classics in Premium Economy and Economy cabins. From delicious appetisers to exquisite main courses, enjoy Hong Kong’s vibrant culinary heritage while travelling above the clouds.

But on land, they also offer an incredible dining experience with refined Chinese cuisine, combining Hong Kong’s culinary heritage and regional Chinese flavours with contemporary cooking techniques. This is made possible thanks to our collaboration with the award-winning restaurant brand Mott 32.

International cuisine also takes centre stage thanks to an agreement with Louise, a renowned Michelin-starred restaurant belonging to the JIA Group, which offers a personalised menu based on reinvented French dishes.

But that’s not all. Cathay assures us that this list of flavours, both local and international, will continue to grow as it pursues excellence and makes gastronomic culture part of the experience of flying with them.
